IT’S HARD TO FIT IN SOMETIMES, being around the champions who are far more...relaxed than he is. 15 going on 50, that’s what bobby always used to joke he was, a kid who never had a chance to live out his childhood, caught between tragedy and the burden of leadership. the champions are different --this is his chance to be a kid, to play videogames and watch movies with friends. but the burden of leadership calls again, calm under pressure and serious when needed to be, he rises to the occasion.

             ❝ so what’s up with the helmet? or is it helm? looks fancy enough to be called that. ❞  the thing is awfully shiny -- and looks heavy. way too heavy to be practical. for all she knows the material might not even be from earth. with her run of luck that was the most likely thing she could hear. if it was some high-falutin metal from some distant star, it might as well have strange magic attached to make it feel much lighter. but she’s getting down in the weeds before the kid has even answered. ❝ does it bring you luck or something? ❞
