Stardrop feels lost and struggles a lot with their identity. They feel like they are lying to everyone, never feeling like they belong. The guilt of it all eats him alive. How are they supposed to accept other people's affection when he doesn't even know what or who they like? yeah idk lol

I first got Stardew Valley on the switch in 2018 or 2019 I think. It was the first time I'd ever played a farming Sim game and I immediately fell in love with it. Just full of so many wonderful little fun and serious moments that made me keep guessing. Thank you Eric for creating such a wonderful game! Can't wait for 1.7 and Haunted Chocolatier!

sigh whatever go my joyness alien apocalypse au (which is totally not based off a hit sci-fi show that i am still awaiting the second season of. guys watch pluribus okay . plwease)

anywhooo. our story follows saiorse, a former romance novelist, before one day, a mysterious virus overtakes the planet, consuming all of humanity into the eternal bliss of their alien hivemind— a hivemind which supposedly does not have any name to call itself, but which the seven survivors on earth who are immune eventually refer to as the joy virus.

and then—lo and behold, the hivemind offers saiorse a possessed and assimilated human, formerly known as jaya, to serve as her chaperone. just the implications of her existence are deeply unsettling, but...saiorse can't help but be drawn to her. and the hivemind, likewise, seems hellbent on assimilating this miserable woman into it as well, affectionately calling her sadness.

is their love even real? how real could it even get, when all the virus really wants is to consume, to steal away saiorse's individuality in the name of spreading happiness, of the "greater good"...?

but...is that really all the virus wants? or is it capable of learning the painfully human act of love...? only time can tell...
