i’ve been thinking about how some folks think age regression is an unhealthy coping mechanism, and i find it very interesting. i know it can be unhealthy in certain situations, like if you’re just avoiding all your problems,, but as a general thing? it’s literally fine??
it’s different for everyone but for me, pacis/teethers/chewlery are an oral stim and better for me than chewing on my nails and other objects that aren’t meant to be chewed!
having snack foods in smaller portions helps me when eating seems like too big a task!
comfort items like stuffies and blankets can be a sensory tool to help ground myself when i’m anxious!
my therapist says it’s good to connect with your inner child, and helping them to heal helps you too!!
idk i just think that some people claim they’re worried about it being unhealthy when really they’re just uncomfortable with anything different from what they’re used to. and you don’t have to like everything, that’s okay, but you don’t need to be rude to people either. anyways that’s just some of my thoughts for the day
