Behind-The-Scenes On Stardust! (Preview)

Hey everyone!  This is gonna be a detailed look behind the curtain of the management & writing of Stardust, my latest visual novel.  Strap in!

So, I’ve had this idea about stars coming alive for quite a while now.  It was inspired by some character designs I acquired on Toyhouse, with stars as part of their designs.  You can see those fellas here, but I’ll also share some pictures below.

The Star Messenger character was the main source of inspiration for this idea.  Eventually, I decided to dub this idea/the universe of these living stars the “Starsverse”!  Fitting, huh? :3

In the Starsverse, when the stars come alive, they can form their body into whatever shape they desire—I’m not 100% sure if it can be a feral form, but humanoid & anthropomorphic for sure.  Their forms are an expression of their inner soul, capturing who they are.

Shining bright for one last concert.

The idol duo Stardust is having their last concert.  Their biggest fan, Ori, is attending, and the last thing they want is to see their favorite group fade away.  So when they get to meet Stardust as a part of their VIP ticket, what will they decide to say?

This is the first story in a concept I've had for a while now, called the "Starsverse", about stars that come to life.  I love 2D idols, so when I saw the Music Idol Game Jam, I knew I had to make something for it.  It was Plennty who came up with the groundwork for the story, about failed idols having their last concert.  A brilliant concept that I loved writing.  I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do.
