Unfortunately I don’t feel GRRM will ever finish the books and we don’t get to see Sansa and Harry into their full potential as a couple. So I would love to read some canon compliant! Them flirting and getting to genuinely know each other, I want to see Sansa falling in love with someone who won’t hurt her and who respects her. Them getting married and making love for the first time, and Sansa just feels so good because he listens to her and how passionately in love with her he is

For some reason I just now saw this in my asks, and it’s been since January. 😬🫣😔. I am so sorry, I try to answer all asks promptly.

I’ve always been interested in exploring Harry as a potential love interest in his own right, and it’s fun since he’s pretty much a blank slate. We only get a few paragraphs of interaction with Sansa.

I find it mildly annoying how in most of the GOT/ASOIAF fanfics, he’s a one-dimensional jerk made to prop up Sansa’s chosen love interest. Usually he’s abusive, or he’s a cheater. Which is interesting since it’s never inferred that he was either in the books. At worst, he’s a pampered privileged young man who has fathered a bastard and one on the way / whose mother he seems intent on staying with (Saffron). Such a terrible, horrible guy! (Insert eye roll here). I just choose to consider a possibility that Harry might develop actual feelings for Sansa, and vice-versa. Though realistically, in ASOIAF I’m sure he will die, in fanfic I can go wherever I want to.

I’ve done a few one-shots and have an unfinished full fic with Sansa/Harry, both in modern and canon times, but never really got around to a complete full canon-compliant fic. Sure, the ideas rolled around in my head, but overall my interest in ASOIAF has dwindled to near non-existence. I’ve been drawn into other series now, mainly Stranger Things, Cobra Kai… more modern shows. So I’m not sure if I’ll revisit Sanrry / Stardyng again, but if I do, I can assure you I love the ideas you have. There’s so little positive fanfic for Harry x Sansa… and it’s a shame.

Harry is defnitly an asshole with how he talks about the mothers of his children, but not abusive. He could definitly improve and become a good person.

Do I have to go through this again because I really don’t want to? Harry has never talked badly about Saffron so I don’t know where you got that from. The only time he elaborated on how is when he talked about her beauty, which he did in a way that was neither objectifying nor creepy. It’s being noted that she’s still a part of his life. The more complicated one is Cissy. Did he make a fat-shaming comment? Yes, but honestly so does several major characters in the story and no one raises a red flag there. Ned, Catelyn, Arya, Jon, Tyrion, Olenna etc all made fat-shaming jokes or/and comments and yet no one raises a red-flag with any of these other people. Yet when we’re talking about Harry, him acting like a teenage boy his age (living in the society he lives in) makes him such an asshole like I’m sorry but I can’t take this little high horse that y’all suddenly decided to climb on seriously. Anyways he’s lowkey an asshole but also I don’t know a better man lmao. Stan stardyng.

Sansa Stark deserves better

I’m gonna get shot for this but...

I’ve noticed how some people view jonsa or Aegon (The real Aegon, Elia’s Martell’s son!Aegon) x Sansa as the next Rhaegar x Lyanna with Sansa Stark being betrothed to Harrold Hardyng and then any of these two would steal her away just like Rhaegar did to Lyanna. People make it seem like Rhaegar and Lyanna had the best “selfless” love story to emulate but here’s the thing, THEY DIDN’T. They were the worst two characters who were the catalyst of starting a war that almost broke the realm apart just because of their selfishness.

For all Sansa Stark’s character development and growing out of her ‘knights and song’ phases, I think she would have more honor and sense of duty than to run away without thinking of other people or her family. I am disappointed that you would think so lowly of her after what she had endured.

Also, please don’t make it seem like the Targaryens were owed Stark brides. Because news flash, THEY ARE NOT.

Jon should find better “role models” to emulate and Aegon (The real Aegon) would be unlikely to repeat the same mistake his father did that resulted in his mother’s and sister’s deaths which also ruined his life.

If it isn’t bad enough that you use Harrold Hardyng’s character as a prop in fanfics to make your ships look better, you continue to paint him as a worse version of Robert Baratheon or the bookverse version of Ramsay Snow. Yes, he offended Sansa but for fuck’s sake, he didn’t rape her.

He apologized to her for his insult and HE EVEN SEES HER FOR HER WITS. We just saw a glimpse of that guy and y’all are judging him already.

Also, how do you think it would affect Westeros if another Targaryen steals away another bride from who could possibly be another Lord Paramount?

Apparently the original ending for Jorah was for him to end up in the Night's Watch but the writers didn't know how to handle his reaction to Daenerys burning King's Landing so they had him die in the war of the dawn. So either the show made up both endings for him and he'll get something else entirely for him or going to the Night's Watch is going to be his book ending and the writers felt like it didn't fit with the show so they created another ending for him. Either way, I hope he rots.

i’m guessing he and jon would have had the same reaction- ie despite killing 1 million people, dany should live. jorah wanted to see the world dany would build but unlike barristan he had no interest in advising dany to be a good person. destroying king’s landing wouldn’t phase him like it would barristan. according to the scripts (i haven’t read them but i’ve seen people discussing them) jon told tyrion beforehand that he doesn’t think dany will let king’s landing surrender and seeing as jon was shocked by the violence in the episode, maybe that was meant to be jorah’s line. idk

but yeah like you said i hope book jorah’s endgame is either the wall or death.
