The Jesters
In many Tekuni cultures, jesters may not hold noble titles, but have the right to challenge the decisions of the nobility without fear of legal consequence. This is normally done with words, but when a noble turns truly corrupt, jesters fight with blade and spell, bringing them to justice.
Virre Barake
Virre seeks to recover the lost soul of a Hydrarithian nobleman, allowing her to be posthumously adopted into his currently-defunct house, complete with title, wealth, and the chance to marry her love. She is extremely determined but lacks delving skills, and without a strong entourage she won’t stand a chance.
The Eonic Phalanx
Kibeo’s court sorcerer designed immortal soldiers using godwood, coral, and clockwork, who could maintain themselves by butchering enemies to integrate into their workings. The Emperor banned her from deploying her prototypes, but the island fell before they were disassembled and they will awaken if an unauthorized user enters their chamber.
Shirei
A bountiful tree-god, Shirei sank into the stone as Kibeo fell, using the last of her power to save as many of her people as possible. Now she is nothing more than rotted godwood, covered in terminites that gorge on her essence and turn it to mud and smoke.
The Pearlescent Corridors
The landscape around what was once Kibeo’s treasury has been twisted and caked in glimmering white amber, coating buildings and forming tunnels. Anyone approaching the treasury must take care, or they’ll become stuck to the amber and slowly dissolved, until their soul comes free and falls into the island’s roots.
Pekka Nara
Furious at his god for bowing to a foreign pantheon, Pekka is searching for a weapon capable of casting down the supposed traitor. He believes that he can recover Shirei, unleashing its parasites on his people and using her dead godwood to sustain and control Othanar in the aftermath.
The Wailing Stake
An ancient treasure of Kibeo, the Wailing Stake is held deep in the castle’s vaults. Rumour states that it holds the power to utterly annihilate any spiritual being that it is plunged into, but even at the worst moments of the war Kibeo’s rulers were unaccountably terrified of using it.
Ayanos
The six islands of Ayanos were tributaries of Kibeo, joining in the war against it only to lose their leaders at the summit. The experience scarred their cultures, and their gods each hold a fragment of each others’ essence. If one is under threat from Chaos, all must respond.
