After I posted my college fears last night, I went to bed soon after, so I didn’t see any of the amazing responses. I see them now, and I really want to thank everyone. I feel like a heavy rock has been lifted from my chest.
@unwoundbobbin I read that article and it has made me feel better about myself and my situation. Thank you for linking it - I felt less alone, less like a failure.
@stargirl776 I’m relieved to hear that nobody asks how long it took to get a degree, haha. Thank you for sharing that it took you a bit longer to get your degree than ‘normal’, too. It really is a comfort to hear from people who were once in the same situation. I hope my “fun” classes enhance my life too :D
@wexfogg Thank youuu. Your reply made me smile - maybe it is amazing that I’m taking this opportunity to indulge in something I like. I’ll try to just appreciate it :)
@blahblahwoofwoof oh my gosh, thank you. I’m glad my decisions seem thought out - I feel like I’m mostly just reacting instead of taking charge. “Maybe if I had done this, or completed that...” but I am making good decisions, and that helps.
@turlouqh thank you. I thought that credits didn’t expire, but I got caught in a doom spiral where I was convinced the classes I took 4 years ago are going to...well, expire. I like the idea of viewing this class as a break, too. I could use one :D Your words mean a lot to me!
