#stark series progress

A Stark Reality is complete! Stark Series part 2 is almost completely plotted out and ready to go 😁 I’m challenging myself to another NaNoWriMo-style goal, because I’m quite actually useless without a deadline. I’ve set the start day for March 5th, end date April 5th.

I reached the 50k goal in November after 28 days, and that was with my birthday and Thanksgiving so I’m not expecting any delays. I had finished the story completely around the second or third week of December (see how much I slowed down without a deadline lol), so I’m hoping to finish part 2 in about the same amount of time.

Now, I had said on AO3 that I was expecting this to be a 3 part series… but… the entirety of part 1 had been intended to fill like 3 chapters. I had plotted on a small notepad and only had 6 pages and wasn’t sure where I’d be going after that and it turned out to be over 60k words. As of right now I have part 2 plot notes taking up almost half of a comp notebook so I mean, I might be bad at estimates ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can I release my working title for part 2? Is that a thing people do? I just hit my day 3 goal of 5k words and I’ve really enjoyed writing these first couple chapters so I made a fake little book cover for my nanowrimo project page and I’m super pleased with it 😊

A Stark Reality had just been called nanowrimo2021 until like the day before I started posting lol It just feels really nice to have a title already

And can I share lines that don’t give things away? This is all new to me idk, I’ve never brought a fic idea this far before! Let me know what you think 💜

When I say I’ve always got this story on my mind, I mean it. I’ve got a test coming up, but still, every free moment I have is spent focusing on getting Tony and Ev back together. We’re nearly there, friends!

Ngl I’m about to run away to the mountains for a break so I can just chill and write lol

The universe has been sending me signs for a long while telling me to get back to Tony and Ev… and I’m finally in a good enough place to listen…

the next chapter is ready to post, but i’m anxious about one part of it... so i’m waiting to hear feedback from a friend on changes i made in editing to make sure it’s good to go.  it might not make it up until tmrw, but know that it is ready! 

my friend and i have created a writer’s club, and she’s challenged me to get a chapter done every week.  my hope is to therefore post a chapter each week.  i’m already falling behind bc of my self doubts, but it’s still excellent progress :D  

my goal is now to have part 2 finished by the end of the year <3

also, my birthday is tmrw, and i took the day off, so i hope to finish the next chapter early and get a leg up on the following chapter

Y’all I am so sorry it’s been so long since I posted the last chapter.

My son came home from his summer visit with his father and it was like we were immediately on the fast lane with football. I was not prepared for preseason and the beginning of the school year to be so hectic. And then the new message at work is “be productive or leave” so I can do absolutely nothing in my downtime at work other than clean 🙄

I promise I’m still here and working on it! I had to make some changes to match with changes I’d made in the previous chapter and figure some things out… I keep jumping ahead of myself and having a hard time focusing on the rest of THIS story, I’ve been already working on the next part in my head ><

Y’all I’ve got Covid 😭 I’m vaccinated so I’m assuming it’s not as bad as it would have been otherwise, but my headache is the absolute worst. This week’s update might be late but I’ve still been working on it when I’ve been able 💜
