"We're getting married..."
"Yes."
Everett couldn't stop smiling, throwing himself into Wyatt's arms, hugging him tightly. "You're going to be stuck with me. Forever."
"I can think of no better way I'd rather spend my life."

"We're getting married..."
"Yes."
Everett couldn't stop smiling, throwing himself into Wyatt's arms, hugging him tightly. "You're going to be stuck with me. Forever."
"I can think of no better way I'd rather spend my life."
"Let's prove that what was once wrong can be right. Please, marry me. Be my husband."
"I would ask your father, but I know he would say no. So I am just going to ask you instead..."
Everett's eyes went big. Holy shit. Was this it?
"Everett Stark, I would like nothing more than to one day make you my husband. But I am not going to propose to you right now, because you deserve something as breathtaking as you are."
Oh my God. He was freaking out on the inside. He was screaming.
"Will you, then, grant me your humble permission to ask for your hand in marriage? With the guarantee, of course, that you will say yes?"
Everett nodded like a madman. "Jesus fucking Christ, Wyatt. Yes. When you do ask me, there's not a single part of me that won't want it. As far as I'm concerned, it's been a yes all along."
Wyatt leaned forward, softly kissing him. "Dr. Everett Cross. Now that has a ring to it, doesn't it?"
"Almost sounds like it's meant to be."
