TITAN. She was there not so long ago, yet after the snap of fingers & the sudden removal of half of existence, she finds herself appearing back onto the orange realm, descending down through a rift to collapse to the ground. There’s a groan of pain heard from her, one that mingles with a choked sob as she only shifts to properly sit upon the clay beneath her, swift to bring knee’s close to her chest. At first, she doesn’t see any around her, only the shift of wind that gives a reveal as to what happened here - beings simply gone, shifted into dust to flow in the wind, further & further away from their homes.

So when there’s a blade pointed at her from the side does she shift in surprise, breath stolen as form backs away a few hairs away from the point, cerulean gaze flickering over the being unknown to shift to the second one approaching, a despair in his eyes & a being she’s all too familiar with.

“T...Tony ? I - I tried to fight, I tried to stop him, but I couldn’t and - I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. . .”“

Okay, so--this is by default the first one to spring to mind but

Where to start with how special Iz and Iz’s Tony are? They’re the reason that my Bruce exists--both inspire such devotion on my end. Iz puts soul into every layer of his characterization, dialogue, and headcanons. I never fail to be re-amazed at how poignant Tony is in every reply to not only me, but anyone Iz interacts with. I’ve known Iz for three years, and we’ve been there for each other as much as our muses have been. Gone through highs and lows in our lives, but never with each other. I’ve made a friend on this site, someone I always know has my back, and I’d do the same. And, at the end of the day it reflects in our writing.

Our muses are brothers at this point.

We’re family.

After the horrors he had just left, the genocide etched into his mind, the knowledge that all would come to his HOME in mere hours (or less), this one comfort was all that Bruce Banner allowed himself: seeing Tony Stark again. Seeing the man who had believed in him when no one else did, when he himself didn’t. A man, despite all his flaws, all the bravado, all the irritants others found in him, was a good soul—there were so few of those.

He had come back home to his brother.

Despite his usual reserve, it was he who stepped forward, he who pulled Tony into a firm, desperate embrace, both a greeting and a reassurance—Tony was really there, he was all right, he was ALIVE. For now.

“We have to stop him. We have to stop him, Tony—he’s coming. He’s coming here and he won’t stop, he won’t stop until half the planet is dead, slaughtered. He’s coming now, we HAVE to stop him before he kills more, more and more…”

Perhaps the hug lasted longer than the ‘usual’ amount, but the shaken scientist couldn’t care less in this moment, almost leaning on the other for support as the images flashed in his mind, images from him and fuzzy ones from Hulk, all mingled in a clear vision of terror, dread…loss. His tone, desperate, anguished, frantic, strained further as it lowered, the fresh grief once again surfacing.

“I can’t lose anyone else—I can’t lose you too. I won’t.”

“Finally, you’re back.” Bruce spoke, a quick response yet absent tone as he peered back into the microscope. He had been observing his own blood cells in the sample, a quick glance to the touch pad as he recorded the micro-shifts. If not a cure, perhaps something to decelerate his heart rate at a healthy rate, or a neutralizing agent for the blood cells themselves...

However, these focused musings were disturbed by an audible panting, consistent, insistent. His brows furrowed, the scientist looking toward where the mechanic had entered the lab--and even as accustomed as he was to Tony’s eccentricities now, even his brows rose.

“...What is a puppy doing in the lab?”

She finds a minuscule sense of excitement arise at his gift, smile appearing just as she finally places aged sunglasses on. There’s a scratch in the corner of the left, & from the looks of it they’ve certainly seen better days - too much time clashing about in the drawer she had been searching through. Still, there’s a joy in being gifted something, arms coming to rest against metallic top just to look at him through the lenses.
