For a Bookshop AU + Baby fic, I’d write about Billy who owns a bookstore in Chicago. He hasn’t seen Steve since he moved away 10 years ago. One day, just after opening, the door jingles and Billy looks up to see Steve pushing a stroller through the door. It turns out that Steve found out he was a father when his ex-girlfriend passed away during childbirth. He has no clue how to raise a child, so in a panic, he goes to the closest bookstore to buy baby books. Billy and Steve start talking, and get closer as Steve starts bringing the baby into the store to visit Billy while they’re out on morning walks.

Okay so I meant to do this earlier, but for the 70 (or however many there were, I honestly forget lol) questions thing, could you do 31?

Also, for the other thing, I have a secret to confess: I don't have a whole lot of really really good friends, really only one or two, but I consider people on the internet my friends, especially you and my other mutuals, because you seem to get me in a way that some of my other friends don't. I always have a little bit of anxiety when doing anything social, because I don't want people to think I'm weird for asking or saying things out of the blue (even doing asks like this make me a little nervous), and I'm afraid they'll stop being my friend because of it. It's worse with people I actually know in person, but it's still there, so whenever someone answers an ask I gave or reblogs/likes/comments on my posts and works on sites like ao3, it really helps ease my mind and makes me feel happy. So that's my secret, and thank you for always helping me to overcome my anxiety just by being a nice person on the internet. I don't think we've ever met, but I hope someday we might be able to. 💚💚💚

Hello my dear! How are you this fine day?

So, this is out of the blue, but I'd like to ask your opinion on something. I'm planning on writing a fic soon in which Billy has a twin, but I'm having trouble deciding on a name for him. They're identical twins but have different personalities sometimes, and even though a lot of their interests are shared, there's a few that are different. However, appearance wise, they're identical, and even Max sometimes has trouble telling them apart. Because of this, I want them to have similar names as well.

Here's where the question comes in: should I name him Bobby, Bucky, or I was even considering Johnny or Benny? I figured I'd ask you since you write a lot of fantastic fics and ficlets, and I know you'd never steer me wrong. Take your time on answering, I probably won't start this fic until at least midday tomorrow, so there’s no rush.

First off- SUCH an interesting idea for Billy to have a twin. I’m so curious as to what that dynamic would be like.

I’ve been thinking about the name for while and I keep circling back to Bobby. It just gives me the same vibe as Billy. A “strong, English name” Neil would approve of - Robert, and something sweet their mom would call him - Bobby. Same as William/Billy.

Plus Billy and Bobby together give such 80s names vibes that it just fit perfectly in my head.

I hope this helps you with your Billy twin! I’m so interested in seeing where this is going! I wish you happiness right back and that you have a great time writing! 💕

I hate to be like this, but does anyone else think this might be a bot? I got this comment on ao3 and it's just seems too mechanical to be a real comment. I could be wrong, but this user also has no works of their own and no bookmarks, nothing. Idk if I should reply, leave it alone, or block and report.

They also didn't mention any specific details about the fic so that makes the message seem more generic and copy/pasted, so Idk if it's real or not.

Ok, sorry this took so long to answer, but work has been crazy lately and yeah. Anyway, I think my favorite things about myself are my creativity, my work ethic, my ability to be friendly to almost anyone, my generosity, and my empathetic streak. I think those are probably my best qualities.

I'm so weaaaaak for Billy being kicked out and wandering around, especially when he is picked up like the little hissing street cat he is. XD Okay he's not hissing in this one, but Billy is not a TAME boy.

Here, he is kicked out on CHRISTMAS EVE (my heartstrings ... they are tugged!), and he finds shelter in Church during midnight mass. And WHO IS THERE but two people who we know would help him. Yes, this is Harringroveson and no, it's not explicit or anything. Think two good samaritans, it's all very innocent. And oh so good.

(For me, who can take or leave shipping honestly, it's perfectly enough)

It's the perfect mix of whump and hurt/comfort, and Billy's just the right amount of suspicious and also not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth. It's a great fic, a great read, and I would very much like to recommend it. <3
