Legal adult since many years. Aro. Ace. Also, important note: I AM TERRIBLE WITH NAMES. If you've changed your url, I will not recognize you. These are just the facts. I'm sorry. I tend to follow talented people, and reblog their stuff. (Also, sometimes I post things that I do. Or write. Or, you know, draw.) New favourite way to spend money: commission talented people whose work I love to draw or write things that I want to see. (Because it generates more fanworks, which is a good thing, and I support people that I am in awe of, which is ALSO a good thing.)
Soooo, you guys know my doodles, right? Remember that time a while back when I printed them into a book (just so I could keep them all in my bookcase) and gave you the link to download it for free if you wanted?
Well, I recently figured I'd do a Volume 2, since I had enough doodles for that. This is how it turned out:
It's not ONLY Harringrove, but mainly. And just like with the last one, you can download your digital version below, and if you want to print it for your own use, feel free!
Thinking more about Billy's body language during the moment he confronts Steve at the Byers' house (see gif of scene here), and how there's something else Billy does that indicates emotional distress over the situation.
Billy squeezes his chin, creating the dimpling effect right before and during his line: "This whole situation, Harrington. I don't know. It's giving me the heebie jeebies." That chin dimpling is an involuntary muscle response that expresses emotional vulnerability in the midst of feeling overwhelmed by emotions. It can be an precursor to crying or displaying another outpouring emotive response. As a result, the chin dimpling effect is that last moment of someone holding back before an emotional release, done often because they are feeling too emotionally exposed, and because they are trying to hold back their distress and suppress their feelings.
This falls exactly in line with how Billy is feeling in that moment. Remember, Billy has just arrived at the Byers' house after being groomed and sexually preyed upon by Karen, an adult woman, (read here and here) and physically abused by his father (read more here). He's been abused in two different ways by adult figures that strip away his agency and control. When he arrives at the Byers' house, he sees Steve (who's 18) with his sister in a stranger's house.
Billy is uncomfortable. He's pissed off. He's feeling exposed from the abuse he's just faced, and his emotions and stress levels are dialed up, even while he's trying to suppress them. He's also stressed out and full of anxiety/fear over what Neil is going to do to him if he doesn't get Max back, AND worried that Max is in a dubious situation, just like he was right before showing up at the Byers' house. Despite this, Billy initially starts everything off with a conversation, giving Steve multiple chances to explain what's going on. Steve repeatedly lies about not knowing Max. That only escalates Billy's already heightened state of distress after being abused and preyed upon by adults. He knows Steve is lying, and that makes the whole situation from his perspective even worse.
Immediately after that chin dimpling expression, Billy follows through by openly admitting what's bothering him: "My 13-year-old sister goes missing all day, and then I find her with you in a stranger's house, and you lie to me about it." He's laying it out to Steve in that moment: Billy thinks Steve is a creep. And when we factor in that Billy's chin dimples RIGHT before he admits what he finds so disturbing-- complete with Billy calling Max his "sister" after originally calling her his step-sister (read more about how that is a sign of emotional vulnerability here)-- we see how the corresponding body language checks out. It does serve as a moment of vulnerability in the final moments of Billy holding back because he's feeling too emotionally exposed from the abuse and predatory behavior and is trying to hold back his distress from the abuse he's faced, the distress he feels about Max potentially being in a dubious situation, and the heightened stress/pissed off response that comes with Steve's lies over something serious.
For more related reading, see here for a breakdown of the fight between Billy and Steve and how the fight parallels with Billy's mother and Neil, and how Max copies Neil's abuse toward Billy at the Byers' house here.
Getting up to shady shit with a bunch of kids and then lying to my face about it was kind of asking for an ass kicking, but I admit the one I gave you may have been a (slightly) disproportionate response.
Hope the concussion wasn’t too bad.
The face is looking better already, so don’t worry, broads’ll be throwing themselves at you again in no time. (If they aren’t already—lucky for you, you pull off the battle-damaged look pretty well. The bruises make you look like less of a yuppie.)

PS - Just a thought: next time you feel like practicing your child abduction skills, maybe have ‘em call their folks first and, you know, avoid actual kidnapping.
Also, all the moping after Wheeler was pathetic to begin with, but now it’s just excessive. Past time to get back on the horse and rejoin the living, dude. Friendly reminder that Chapman’s kegger on Friday is looking like it won’t actually suck.]
I can finally post the first chapter to my fic for @st-fromthegrave-minibang, it's been a real labour of love and I had an amazing time working with @alicetallula! They were so kind to lend their talents to make art for my silly little fic. I would also like to thank @thatgirlwithasquid for setting this bang up, being the admin and mod! This was such a fun little bang and everyone had such amazing and unique ideas and takes!

Summary;
Teacake doesn't particularly like his job, its a shitty job, with a shitty location manager, but its his job. So what if the place gives him the creeps, the decade of therapy had told him that monsters with to many teeth don't exist, that superpowers are just in the movies. So yeah he just clocks in for his graveyard shift, content with listening to self help podcasts, reading his well loved SyFy books and helping people with their storage needs at ass o'clock in the morning. But maybe he shouldn't believe his therapists because his night is about to get very strange and the dear that he and Naomi sew taking the elevator will be the least weird shit to happen
Read on A03, art on A03 small snippet under the cut
'…. You will build for me, build an army'
'…… The wave was 7ft ….. she was so proud …. She was really pretty … '
' …. Alone … '
'…… No …. Not alone …. We…'
'…. Danger …. Not safe …..'
' …. Weak …. Need …. Move ….. yes … get safe …'
Slowly he becomes aware of his body, his muscles feel stiff and he's chilled to the bone. He must have slept in his car again, no that's not right. It's summer it shouldn't be cold out, shit is he late for work?
'… Focus…. DANGER'
The sudden voice makes him stagger and nearly trip over his feet. Wait, was he walking? Why is walking? Where is he? A cold shiver wrecks through his body causing him to bump into a rack of yellow hazmat suits. Where the fuck is he?
'… Climb the ladder, quickly'
He tries to stop walking and tries to talk, but his mouth is ashen and dry. Shivers run down his spine as anxiety and dread pool deep with his stomach as he finally gets a good look around. He's in some sort of access tunnel, based on the concrete covering everything, from the floor to the ceiling. He must be trapped under the mall. As his eyes adjust better to the darkness, illuminated only by a few flickering fluorescent light in a yellow glow, with a single red light flashing in a rhythmic sequence, he sees the cage ladder.
Just wanted to add my two cents to that ai art post you made: if someone warns you that the art you reblogged is ai, you might want to consider investigating it?? Instead of ignoring it and just going “well I like it soooooo.” Like if a very sus blog with zero intro or personality starts posting a bunch of “art” all at once with no tags or anything that suggests that this is someone who spent hours making said art then it’s highly likely that art is either stolen or it’s ai slop. I mean sometimes I know it’s not obvious but sometimes it really really is and some people choose to ignore it while still claiming to be “anti ai” 🙄
So, here's the thing: No matter how "suspiciously AI" art might look, there's no way to prove it if the OP doesn't tag it as AI art. So what am I gonna do when I see something in the tag that I think might be "AI art"? I'm gonna scroll past it and possibly block the OP.
Because, really, going after artists - no matter if it's visual art or writing - and claiming their creations are AI hurts more than the occasional AI in the tag imo.
The AI images I was talking about are fanart fed to AI in a prompt to make a photorealistic version of it.
Those are obvious. The people hurt are the original artists.
If you need an example, you can find one under the cut.
It's probably easier to get perfect likenesses by using art, but it's so fucking disrespectful. I understand the wish to see more of your favorite ship, but seriously. Not like this. Find other ways. Be creative. Engage in fandom.
Doing this is a surefire way to make artists not want to share their art with us anymore.

When you are done, post your work to the collection and sit back. All incoming works are submitted to the collection unrevealed. Anonymous reveals begin on the 30th of July on Tumblr. Once all works are revealed, the authors are revealed.
📌 Is there anything I need to do when reveals begin?
Once your own fic is revealed, set the publishing date of your fic to the actual day. It ensures that your fic is listed as new under the Stranger Things Category. That's it!
I encourage you to look into other fics being revealed and leave some love ❤️ for them too.
