♚ From Dyanna, @starlight-spun :3 Maybe she saw someone trying to rob Roy at gunpoint, whacked them with a giant stone fist, and they turned the gun on her instead... You can decide if she gets shot or not.

Well, so much for keeping a low profile. But then again, it wasn’t something he’d ever been good at, was it?
Even in the middle of all that action, with several different sore spots aching and the unpleasant cold of snow-coated asphalt in immediate contact with his clothes and skin, a part of Roy’s mind went to his unit then. Breda would have a laugh seeing him like this; Fury would be fretting; and then, his Lieutenant...
No, snap out of it. This is not the time.
It really wasn’t. Isolated in a country he didn’t know, captured by terrorists of which he knew next to nothing, escaping had been nearly a miracle. Retrieving his ignition gloves a blessing, but one he’d sworn not to resort to. The last thing he needed was to be recognized as an alchemy-user in a place where it was so uncommon. All he needed, he’d thought once outside of his prison, was to get on the nearest train and leave. Regroup would come afterwards. If he kept out of trouble until then, he could make it back home.
His luck had ran short when out of nowhere a man intent on nothing more than pitiful mugging had cornered him in a backstreet. Nothing too concerning, ordinarily... but when he couldn’t count on the fire alchemy, well.. it was in moments like this where he regretted not keeping up his martial combat training. He’d gotten cozy and confident in his new skills, and now, here he was.
The Flame Alchemist’s predicament had seemingly solved, and then worsened, when out of nowhere, his assailant’s aim had been disrupted by the impact of a massive rock... a rock that after a moment he’d realized was manipulated by a little girl only a short distance away. After the impact of her ability had knocked both of the men to the ground.
Not a natural rock found and thrown in their direction... but one manipulated by supernatural abilities. Alchemy or not, he realized then that the place he was in was far from ordinary.
And when the robber somehow recovered to then point his handgun on his unexpected rescuer, Roy knew the time to hesitate was over. At the risk of blowing up his cover, he needed to intervene. His hand was already moving. He could only be thankful it hadn’t gotten wet in his fall.
His fingers snapped and followed the trail of oxygen in the air under his control, straight into the barrel of the firearm. The immediate explosion flared him and blinded the small alleyway with white.
Ignoring the man’s scream of pain, the brunet bolted on his feet and reached to fetch the girl’s arm to pull her along, rushing to the nearest corner.
“We’re out of here, come!” He exclaimed between short breaths, no time to look back at her face yet. Finding someplace to hide was priority. The noise was sure to attract attention.
