My job is punishing me for having food poisoning from another restaurant and I just really need to hear that I'm doing the right thing by saying I'd rather be punished than expose customers to what I have, as it's highly contagious.

Eddie seems disturbed on your behalf. "As someone who runs... well a bar. I wouldn't what our customers to get sick. Not only would I want my employees to get better first, but also-- Getting customers sick is just a sure fire way to push them away??? There are so many reasons to not punish someone for being fucking sick in those that situations."

He gets angrier at the end, but takes some deep breaths to calm down. "You are right. That's what I mean." He sighs and leans over the bar counter into his hands. "What the fuck is wrong with some of these businesses."

//Bruh... There are so many reasons other than your employee needing to recover that could convince anyone with an actual brain to not do that shit? Like what the fuck? I say that, because employers ignore their employees needs a lot of the time, but if it affects their business that is something they tend to listen to which is bullshit.
