Hello again, Starlings and Featherlings.

I know I’ve been gone for quite a while, so I wanted to stop by and say hello.

Life has been a little busy, and I needed some time away, but I’m doing alright. I hope all of you have been doing well too.

Please remember to take care of yourselves—drink some water, rest your wings or paws, and be kind to yourselves.

I’ll try to be around a bit more again.

☾ ✦ A Dream I Remember ✦ ☾

I had a dream not long ago.

It felt quiet and distant, almost like a memory from another time. The sky was colored with the last light of sunset, soft and fading.

We were beneath an olive tree.

Its branches stretched above us, the leaves casting a purple-tinted shade in the evening light.

And there he was — Hermes.

He looked younger somehow, softer than the way he’s often described. There was something familiar in the moment, like we already knew each other without needing to say anything.

I remember him speaking, though I couldn’t hear the words.

He tried to embrace me…

but strangely, our skin never actually touched.

When I woke up, the feeling that stayed with me was sadness.

Not a heavy sadness, but a quiet longing — like something important had almost returned to me.

Maybe it was only a dream.

But some dreams feel closer to memories.
