@starlitsakura gets a starter with the kiddos!
Everything was, really, normal. Breakfast had been normal, the lessons had been normal. Playing tag in free time, with Norman as It, was normal too. There was absolutely nothing weird in any way about Emma running through the forest with a smile on her face to find a hiding spot, hoping that this time she would win. Until it got very, very weird.
She liked seeing birds in the trees now and then, liked it when she found a stray feather on the ground. But what she saw before her was not like seeing a bird or a stray feather. It wasn’t like anything she had seen before.
A large mass of feathers that had Emma slowing to a complete standstill, eyes wide as she looked it over. The feathers looked soft, and part of her wanted to touch them, but a voice in the back of her mind reminded her to think before she acted and she held back. For a while, at least.
It was just when Emma decided to risk a few small steps forward that Norman appeared, stepping through the trees.
“Emma?” She looked between the feathers and Norman, hoping he would have some idea what exactly was going on here. All she got was him beckoning her closer to him.
“Stay away from that.”
“What is it?”
Norman shook his head, taking a step away from the feathers.
“I don’t know. It could be some kind of trap.”
