“Watch out!“
Too late! The traffic light is still red, but there is still an engine that didn’t stop roaring. The young woman in blue in front of her remains painfully unaware of the incoming car, whose driver appears to have no regard whatsoever for pedestrians and basic safety rules. Some of the passersby avert their gaze to the seemingly unavoidable collision... And Akira drops the package she is holding and leaps off of the sidewalk.
She is quick to wrap her arms around the other girl, and quickly grab her by her waist, pulling her out of harm’s way. The unruly vehicle shows no signs of stopping its course and almost graze the two of them as it drives past.
Akira is a bit shaken, but she is sure it is nothing compared to what the girl she is now holding was feeling. Her sigh of relief echoed that of the other people watching the scene. As some of them enter in deep debates about traffic safety, Akira gently let the slightly shorter girl’s feet regain the ground. Better check if she wasn’t too shocked...
