first song i'm gonna ramble about is but not kiss by faye webster. this song is beautiful. first of all, faye webster has an absolutely beautiful voice, it's so unique ... like very breathy and almost nasaly in the best possible way. in lots of her songs she uses slide guitar with i adore. also this song ... phew. i love how it starts off so soft and quiet, and then there's a subtle build and all of the other instruments come in. beautiful. stunning. it also is a great song describing pining for someone, having so much want but not being able to have that person. it truly is on so many of my ship playlists for dennis i must be honest. some of my favorite lyrics:

you're getting another jeff rosenstock song for number two my friend. this time it's from his newest album. liked u better is the one that has been stuck in my head non stop. first of all, it's a much more upbeat song than typical jeff stuff. more like ... tinny guitar if that makes sense. it's a really sad song about love and losing love, and coping with that loss. i think the upbeat pace of the song contrasts in a beautiful way to the lyrics. here are some of my fave lyrics:

alright the last song is gonna be keep the customer satisfied by simon & garfunkel. simon & garfunkel are one of my faves dude. and there's something about this song that just makes me want to scream the lyrics and dance around like a silly little guy. the horns !! they are literally so good. the pacing to the song is just so great too, i love the build up towards the end where the trumpets just blast ugh. i have to listen to this song at full volume in my car/in my headphones. yes i have this cd in my car and i listen to it nearly every day when i go to work. i truly cannot pick like specific favorite lyrics for this song, because the whole song itself is a story. so. all of it i just love all of it.

instant death. mortal kombat fatality right here but with love instead. i am deceased. if i didn't feel like i was gonna be annoying on main, i would share every little thought i have on this lil' clown. from just him to his relationships with others to his feelings and thoughts on his crew, etc. i will shake him like a chew toy in order to get every drop of history, feelings, and thoughts out of this lil' guy. but thank you so much c.c. this means so much to me!!!! micah is just a well-rounded, well developed muse and i tremble in their wake.

there was a snort as buggy rolled his eyes. ❝ i don't need a miracle. ❞ there was a tone of smug assurance in his voice like he was too good for miracles.

he jumped down off the retaining wall, the soft thud echoing a little in the quietness. there was an eery silence despite them that caused the hairs on his arms to rise but there were no visible signs of any danger ( which to him was great ). still, contingency plans oh contingency plans. the clown was fully okay with leaving the other behind if he had to. besides, they said something about a miracle. maybe that'll help them.

charlie had tried to keep it together, he really did, but he hated goodbyes. but this wouldn't be a goodbye, it would be a see you later. because he would see micah again, he would. at least ... that's what he had to keep telling himself. he draws in a deep breath, trying to hold his tears back to no avail. a few sneak past, running down his cheeks. as micah leans forward, pressing soft kisses to his tear stained cheeks, he can't help but let out a small laugh.

"i love you so much ..." he says quietly, moving to wrap his arms around micah, tugging them as close to himself as possible. he squeezes tight, clinging to them like this might be the last time he was ever able to hug them again. it might be, after all. "be safe ... please. a-all of you be safe, as safe as you can. i'll be safe too, okay ?? d-don't worry about me." he mumbles into micah's chest, pulling back a fraction just so he can press a soft kiss to their lips.

he's only just woken up, but the second that charlie hears micah speak he turns onto his side facing the other in bed. brows knit together and eyes heavy with worry, his head tilts to the side. "you have ?? i'm sorry ... that sucks." charlie is familiar with strange dreams and nightmares, they often plagued his sleep. it's part of the reason why he had such a bizarre routine for falling asleep ( but he had been weaning off of that habit since he began dating micah ). throat clears, hand reaching towards the other and resting on their stomach. "did you have a weird dream last night ?? do you ... uh ... wanna talk about it at all ??"
