I especially like the song playing from 3:20 to 6:20... unfortunately I don’t know the title as there doesn’t seem to be a complete list of songs that are included in this mix...

Catch Blend Artist Starpause On Tour With Nullsleep + Stagediver

Micromusic-producer and creative-commons-embracer Starpause has been sharing his beats and sketches on Blend since he joined last month, with a whopping 18 projects published so far. Now he's taking his AV set live across America for the first time ever with the SHADOWTRAVEL tour. 

I asked Starpause to share a little bit about this tour and his own thoughts on open collaboration -- here's what he sent me: 

"The SHADOWTRAVEL tour is really special to me because it's the first time I'm taking my AV set live. I'll be playing a mix of my old and new tracks that I've made videos for along with some tracks from labels I'm tight with and have made videos for like Cheap Beats and Saturate Records. 

The new songs I'm playing are all part of my most recent set of tracks that are on Blend. Basically every track I compose for WeeklyBeats this year is also going up on Blend so that people can use/remix/abuse the audio in video games, movies or whatever else I can't imagine right now. That's my favorite part about online collaboration and Creative Commons: I put material out and 99% of it gets ignored but the 1% that comes back surprises me in ways that are amazing and I couldn't have planned for.

I always use the most liberal license I can, CC-BY which allows for commercial use of my tracks as long as there's attribution. I have the luxury of choosing that license because music is a fun hobby for me. I also prefer my creative outlets to be amateur endeavors because it gives me the creative freedom to be as wild & weird as I want -- I don't have to follow trends or play it safe to keep food on the table. And one of my favorite examples of insane collabs is this video a Colorado artist made for one of my tracks: vimeo.com/17579395."
