Actually I want to address something that I have noticed between some people that don’t ship firelocke, and it’s “but what does Abolish get out of it??🥺🥺🥺🥺”

Literally what do you mean. maybe im taking it too literally but it’s a romantic relationship not a transactional one?? And even if it WAS transactional, Pyro is a character who would break his back to please someone(perhaps literally. if you’re thinking sadism majorscythe and whatnot). But in terms of love, theyre the epitome of opposites attract. Abolish is a closed off person because he had to be to survive, Pyro can fix that. Pyro had to be expressive and show why he deserved to survive, Abolish can fix that.

"I just- why? how?..." Pyro's words came out tattered and with a hiccup. He had been crying, even if he didn't want to admit it. Abolish could see it. In the way that their eyes were rimmed red, how their cheeks were still glossy, and how their breathing were laboured.

It didn't take a fool to know just who he was talking about. Abolish had kept his own feeling a bay, while Pyro would ramble on for hours, about how amazing Scott was. But it also didn't take a fool to see, that it was all just a ame for Scott.

When Pyro would talk about how amazing a night had been, a hook-up if you will, he would avert answering how the actual sex was. That look. It was all he needed to know, to know that Scott might have enjoyed the night, but Pyro had ended up as a toy again.

"Abolish, please say something. Please don't just stare at me, when I know you're thinking something." Pyro went on and on, but he heard nothing. He just saw a pretty boy, sitting on the ground of his dorm with tear streaked cheeks, and the prettiest blue eyes, that would make even the summersky jealous.

He moved before he could even think. Steadling them in seconds, finally making them shut up, and all he could look at was their lips. They looked so kissable.

"Abolish, whatever you're thinking right now, it's probably not a good idea," he frowned at that. "What about Scott-"

"Screw Scott!"

Pyro silenced, looking up at him with a wild expresion.

"Well no, dont do that. Screw me."

The room was grand, pillars of gold stretching towards the ceiling, like loyal guards on watch. They looked strong, it would take at least a dozen men to tip them, a secure reminder of where they were. Chandeliers, in dozens, hung high in the dome shaped ceilings. Strange choice for a vampire ball, but Owen wasn’t one to complain. At the very end of the room, a wall of glass also reached the ceiling. They must really love ceilings, he thought. Different accents of gold and off-pure white coming from the worn-down marble, sent a warm hue through the room. The room were filled to the brim with other fellow vampires, every single one dressed from head to toe in fine attire.

In the corner to his right hand, a live band was playing, soothing music reaching his ears before continuing to the rest of the space. A slight shuffling sound from besides him makes him turn, facing the other -Jack Von Pyroscythe. The young sire seems to be in slight distress, not having laid eyes on his fledgling yet. Owen didn’t know this feeling, he had never sired anyone before, but he knew from Scott that not knowing where your newest fledgling was, caused great distress upon the sire. Not that Scot had ever shown that, he moved on from Pyro as fast as he could, taking Shelby, Pyro’s fledgling, to him, leaving the scholar behind to drown.

But this wasn’t Shelby, and they were not Scott. Pyro actually cared for his new fledgling. It was the whole reason he had let them drag him along, and the reason he sighed, and laid a hand on their shoulder.

“She’s here, I’m sure of that.” He spoke to the nervous sire, as the nerves in his shoulders let up at tiny bit. Pyro nodded, before taking Owen’s hand, braiding their fingers and moving further into the crowd. The sound of fluttering caught their ears, and they both looked up, only to see a second ball, one consisting of bats, dancing away in the air. They moved their wings in hypnotic patterns, moving with the music at another rhythm than the vampires on the floor.

If so what is your opinion on Bloodletting or Trust bites?

To be completely transparent, I haven’t watched Owen’s pov lmao, but I know most of his lore. I really like both ships, although I think Bloodletting’s core concept of “I can fix him” was really damning and almost certainly impossible, it created such an interesting dynamic that I was okay with it.

I can totally get behind trustbites, I ❤️ characters with an unhinged and unrestrained obsession on their “savior”(in person A’s eyes anyways) and then another guy totally trying to fix the obsessed one only to realize it isn’t possible to separate the obsession with the actual person lying underneath..

I totally believe they could’ve fixed eachother IF Owen WANTED fixing, but he didn’t. He wanted the image of Louis to stay clean, which meant he couldn’t let anyone else see it, couldn’t get too close, couldn’t even let someone see who he was, nevermind Louis’ perfect memory. in this essay, I will—

ok unfortunately that is a joke (unless I dedicate myself to the bit even more) but I do from the bottom of my heart LOVE trustbites as what they were and moreover what they could’ve been.

The moonlight, streaming down on her from the full moon, formed patterns according to this dance, and shone down on her, giving her an unwanted spotlight. One, which cloaked her in silver light, as ironic as it could possibly be. Moving closer, with such grace it would look like she was floating, had any folk decided to show up, and lay their eyes upon the sight. She made it, to the end of the brush, no longer hidden away by the overgrown. Her silhouette stretched far, reaching the grass even before her own two feet did. The shine of the moon captured every feature of her, casting the image of a monster out into the night.

Owen looked around the park, doing quick surveillance as Pyro flipped through a book. Pyro lowered the book from his face, staring at the man who was leaning against the back of the park bench.

“Can you get a grip?” Pyro hissed, shutting the book.

“I’ll ‘get a grip’ when I know Scott’s dead.” Owen shot back, digging his nails into the soft wood. He no longer had claws, but his nails were long and sharp nonetheless. He’d seen someone who looked like Scott once around New York, and was convinced Scott was watching them.

“I don’t think Scott would’ve lasted that long without breaking his “oath”. He’s dead, Owen.” Pyro rolled up his sleeves, staring at the silver bangles on his left wrist and the array of rings on his right. “And if he isn’t, he can’t get near us anyways.”
