Open Roleplay-- The Possessed Hero
The chiming overhead rung like a gong, the sound vibrated and bounced around in Kori's eardrums. She who was too injured to move, was fading in and out of consciousness. It hit her like a plane crashing down to Earth, a wingless aircraft with the strength of ten thousand men. But how could this be? Friend once and now, Foe. Kori barely had the strength to breathe, her lungs felt like they clasped on her. Why did I not fight back? She wondered. Because that monstrosity destroying the city was once my alley, my friend.
48 hours earlier...
The sky was crystal clear, blue with minimum cloud coverage. The sun shone like a beacon of light, its warmth drawing Kori in like a baited fish. She felt so content on Earth, the planet with the young sun. She feels stronger, faster and healthier here then all her years elsewhere in space. A gentle breeze rolled by, and Kori breathed in, the salty ocean air.
Today is supposed to be her day of, mind you, she doesn't take many of those. Her nerves were just starting to relax when something buzzed next to her in the sand. It was yellow and black with a small screen that light up when she was needed, a soft smile spread across her lips. A day off without a little crime would not be a day on Earth. Secretly she loved the thrill, the chase, the fight and the feel of victory, the euphoria she felt from makes her skin blaze just thinking of it.
Taking her communicator from the sand, Kori swiped the screen and answered the call. "Greetings, friend. I am Starfire, authorization sequence B-0-1-7. What is the urgency of your message?"
