Tell us a funny story 😂
Oh boy, here we go. For once, I’m going to try not to ramble, I’ll just keep it quick. Basically, it was my first senior school sports day, so I was about 11 or 12, and I had put my name down for the javelin event. Now, I had never even held a javelin in my life before it came to my turn, so I’m sure that you can imagine how well this was going to turn out. Little old me was handed the javelin, ran (well, lumbered) up to the line and attempted to throw said javelin. Because I had no idea how to hold this javelin though, i wasn’t holding it straight. So when I tried to throw it, all my arm did was swing sideways so that the javelin hit me in the back of the head horizontally. And of course it had to make this huge clanging noise upon impact too… I still finished the event though, red-faced, with a throbbing headache and after getting some very strange looks from the teachers organising it. Let’s just say that I won’t be appearing at the olympics any time soon…
