The blue skies of Inscryption was clear as it could be and Y/N was ready to do some errands before seeing their friends. They got up from their makeshift bed, which was just a pile of leaves and blankets. Then cleaned up the cabin a bit before heading out the door to be stopped by their Mentor, Leshy who spoke and got Y/N’s attention.
“Y/N. I’ll need to talk to you when you get back.” Leshy said.
“Understood. I’ll be back asap then.” Y/N stated, looking up at their mentor.
“Thank you. Enjoy the day.” Leshy replied before sitting at the table.
Y/N then headed out before they said their hellos to the Angler and Prospector before hurrying off. They were going to inform Grimora of what’s been happening recently, ask Rebecha if they need help or any supplies, deliver a package to stupid P03 and visit their friends in the tower.
Their first errand was easy and they could take their time on it since they didn’t mind spending time with Grimora.
They soon ended up in the land of the dead. They carefully treaded through the land to not step on a grave or ash of anyone that may rest. Soon they were at the entrance of Grimora’s home. They entered and saw Grimora sitting at her table with some tea brewed, enough for two.
“Sorry to intrude on you Grimora.” Y/N said as they stood in the doorway.
Grimora looked at Y/N and smiled. “Oh sweetie come in. How was the journey here? Have you been doing well? Leshy isn’t overworking you I hope.”
Y/N sighed before smiling. They were now going to answer about a thousand questions. “The journey was fine. No graves were stepped upon. I have been doing well and Leshy hasn’t overworked me nor have I done it to myself.” They then walked over and sat at the other end of the table.
The two talked for what seemed like hours. There wasn’t any clocks or anything to tell time, only the sun and Magnificus. “It was so lovely to talk to you Grimora but I’ll need to head off. The main reason I was here was to tell you that winter is in five days.” Y/N stated as they stood up and brushed themselves off.
“So sorry to have kept you here longer then you wanted sweetie and thank you for informing of the incoming season change. I’ll be sure to visit you both a lot when winter does come in.” Grimora said with a smile. “Have a safe journey Y/N.”
Y/N nodded before heading out and they stood at the crossroads of the Land of the Dead and the Land of the Beasts. They had forgotten their other tasks which wasn’t really good. “Inform Grimora…that’s done. Deliver something to someone. Meet with someone.” Y/N sighed in defeat before heading back to the Land of the Beasts and the cabin.
The errands would have to wait until they remembered.
