I just wanted to make a post dedicated to expressing how thoroughly excited I am for Black Eye Syndrome and Honey and Wildfire from Alisha and Bean- both of these sensational writers are in the processes of writing fics and with each passing snippet they share I become more and more enthralled! sweets times a million, not just because i love him way more than reggie, but because that little feeling that keeps pulling her back to him is worth a lot more than how much she likes the idea of being reggie's girlfriend.

Valid points, valid points.  There’s definitely something to be said for the fact that she literally had it with Reggie and still wasn’t content.

Thanks! I did and it’s great. I love everything about it. The raw emotion on his face when they’re sitting side by side and he’s watching her face. His gaze is very intense. At some point she takes his face in her hands; I can’t say exactly why I think she reaches out first. Maybe because she’s holding his face so much more firmly than he’s holding hers; makes me wonder if they’re having a very emotional/intense conversation, maybe she’s reassuring him. Also, whenever a man holds or kisses Teresa she always puts her hands on his shoulders or chest. That her hands are cupping Jame’s face just makes me think she reached out first. Then he also cups her face, but more gently. Their faces are very close together when he tilts his head and kisses her, less than an inch apart. His eyes aren’t open but hers are and there’s heat and longing on her face. Her eyelids are open but heavy and just before he kisses her she parts her lips. Perfect. 

The jolt of her body, tho. There’s a part of me that wonders if she pulls away. That maybe they were having a moment and James was overcome by his longing for her, saw it on her face too, reached out and for a few seconds she was feeling it so strongly too that she didn’t pull away. But that jolt of her shoulders could be her pulling back. (To be clear I think even if she does pull away initially it’s just a brief feeling of being overwhelmed and that they’re still getting together. Probably even in the same episode that kiss happens.)

Or maybe kissing James just has such an effect on her that her whole body reacts. I can certainly see why. That’s the kind of intense yet gentle, emotion-filled kiss people write about.

if you ever need an idea for a gifset, one of the funniest things ive noticed is all of the men that have hit on teresa throughout the episodes (king george multiple times, the army guy basically proposing, chucho asking if she's got a man and teresa looking SO amused.) with that plus guero and james basically fighting over her, one of my favorite things about teresa is how shes still solely focused on rising up in the business.

Hey! I was thinking of something similar the other day! Great minds think alike ;) I don’t recall who Chucho is, though? But yeah, so many men have taken an interest in her and she just couldn’t care less. That’s one of my favorite things about the Bolivia arc; on any other show there would’ve been all these overtly shippery scenes between Teresa and each man but that didn’t happen. Instead, Teresa was pretty frustrated and annoyed by them when they let their feelings get in the way of doing their jobs.

did you see the mini promo they released for QOTS? "bad things come in threes." all i'm picturing right now is teresa, pote, and james running around malta. also thinking back to all the bad things that happened in bolivia when it was teresa, guero, and james.

Hey, starryeyedauthor! Sorry for the late reply! I did see that promo, it was too skimpy for my tastes. I want actual footage, lol. “Bad things come in threes.” It’s so vague I couldn’t even take a real guess. Perhaps there will be three major defeats/setbacks in the new season? Or bad things come in three refers to Teresa, Pote, and James and all the damage they’re going to do to Camila? I hope it doesn’t mean horrible things are going to happen to Teresa, Pote, and James but this show does like to put Teresa through the ringer... Or maybe its meant in the typical superstitious way; it looks like each episode will be named for a tarot card, and both previous seasons - two more than one - dabbled in superstition and the supernatural. Admittedly, that’s my least favorite angle because I feel like the show has been pretty clumsy with those elements.

i really love @serpentbaby @imcgining and @starryeyedauthor so much. i’m a relatively new riverdale blog and they’re all so sweet to me omg! even though i’m mutuals with all three of them i’m too scared to talk to them? lol. but i love them all so much and whenever i see them in my notifications my heart goes !!!!
