Town of ωιтcнεs and all that came with them.
A place that he had become quite familiar with over the past two decades. One of the most powerful witches to ever exist had stirred up a disturbing amount of trouble among its residents. The iconic fire that had taken place on one of the boats that could be found in the quaint town was one that many hunters had studied time and time again. It was one of the best examples of a deal gone wrong because of two opposing sides. There had been those who believed that the hunters that had been there that one day had caused flames to engulf the ship, but the truth of the matter was that one man alone could be held responsible. A man who was not a hunter and was capable of more than the average person was. All because of the immense power that he had possessed at the time. Not all of it was rightfully his to use, but even without the magic he had stolen from other covens, he had a concerning amount of power on his own. It was because of that that fire had even happened in the first place.
Through his hunting contacts, the man had come to be aware of the downfall of the dark witch. Apparently two members of the circle he had almost had obliterated on Halloween of the prior year were to thank. While that would have been reason to celebrate, there was a bigger problem to worry about. As if one Blackwell was not enough. As it turned out, the man had fathered enough kids to form a full circle of witches who could use the same type of magic that he could. If they were to find each other and unite forces, the lives of many innocent people would be lost. There was no doubt that the entire town could be brought to its knees. Needless to say, that was not a scenario that could be allowed to play itself out. At all costs, it needed to be kept from happening. It was why he had made the decision to leave Beacon Hills for a very short while. There was only one clear way to go about doing that and it did indeed involve death. A circle could not be bound if it did not have all of its members present. At the very least, one of those who were descendants of John needed to meet the same fate that he had met. When it came down to one life against the lives of hundreds, he would always be more willing to dispose of the one.
As that was the case, he had planned out a kidnapping with some of his acquaintances. Some of those who were living as he was in the sense that they hunted those who needed to be taken down. The plan was to take a particular witch with hair that rivaled the color of the sun. At the moment, Cassie was the only descendant he knew of and had tried to kill multiple times already. Besides, she just so happened to be the strongest of witches in town. It had taken a total of six men, but she had been successfully brought to the very room she had almost been killed in not even a full year ago. The very room that he was currently in now. As it was night, there was minimal lighting illuminating the room. A ring of Dark Colocasia Root encircled the chair that she had been securely tied down to. Wouldn't want her trying to attack him on site, right? For the past fifteen minutes or so, she had been in a state of unconsciousness. A result of the blow to the head she had taken during the kidnapping. Sure, the option of merely doing away with the powerful teenager now was available to be taken, but why let a perfectly good opportunity go to waste? If he could just extract valuable information from her, he could learn more about her half siblings.
Of course, he did not particularly enjoy having to wait for her to open her eyes. ]
