sif and loop exploring each other's bodies and sif is on their knees and they're super nervous so they just keeps cracking the worst fucking dad jokes and stupid puns with loop's legs over his shoulders and they can't see loop's face from where they're sitting but he can feel them shaking and he hasn't even touched them yet so he's like "stars i'm so bad at this i'm making them uncomfortable and it's all my fault"
meanwhile loop is trying so so so so so hard not to lose their shit laughing because the second they do their disaffected persona is donezo but if they open their mouth to tell sif to shut the fuck up they have NO idea what sound they'll make
Ok I'm back on my punchline shit and i've discussed this with my partner but i wonder if anyone else thinks this?
I think it's so shitty how people can acknowledge Terra is a victim of Deathstroke but can't acknowledge Alexis as a victim of the joker. We can see that they're not perfect victims and even participate in their own abuse the way a lot of grooming victims do...But when it's Alexis she's a "master manipulator who's also secretly manipulating the joker" and like??? I know her comics hype her up as this plot armored badass but like...Alexis is barely an adult if she's one at all when she meets him...She's a high school senior...Do you remember being 17-19? We're you constantly on top of your shit and some highly developed mastermind? I get it she's fictional but people do not give her the grace she deserves and I know it's in large part because of how she's written but goddamn...
getting buzzed at the work function and thinking about ways the party can reassure loop that they are wanted and that the party plans to keep them (put a collar on them and drag them around by it until they're dizzy and stumbling and falling over themself)(gag them and tie their arms behind their back so they can't argue or cover their face or hide whenever they tell them who they belong to)(carve their names along the lines of loop's hips so they know who they belong to)(knock 👏 them 👏 up 👏)(push them up against a wall and fingerblast them whenever they get a little too bitchy and self-sabotaging until it's sunk in that they don't get a choice in whether or not they're wanted)(have someone blindfold them and put them on a leash and force loop to sit at their feet/in their lap/curled up beside them all day to force them to focus on their owner and trust them to lead them around safely)(get them inebriated and dizzy and giggly and put them in someone's lap to grind against their thigh while they're pet and kissed and held firm and they can't fight back)(forcefem them and take them into town so everyone can see what a pretty girl they are)(come up behind them when they're not expecting it and hold them by the throat with one hand and fondle their tits with the other until their legs are shaking)(all-nighters where loop is edged over and over and over again until they're sobbing and incoherent and willing to do anything at all if it means they get to cum (including but not limited to: admitting that they are good, asking for the things they want without apologizing or minimizing them, receiving compliments without fighting back))(etc etc etc etc etc)
I DON'T WANT TO HAVE SEX!!!! I JUST WANT TO CRACK OPEN OUR RIBCAGES AND LET OUR ORGANS MINGLE TOGETHER WHILE I RIP YOUR THROAT OUT WITH MY TEETH UGHHHHHHHHHH STOP BEING SO FUCKING WEIRD ABOUT IT >:T
Since I now have permission (lol) to talk about this, I've had this one in the chamber for a bit. A couple weeks back, I was talking to a friend re how my vague hand gesture everything works, and the analogy I usually use is one of a twitch streamer. So, I wanted to put it here for the sake of explaining things to folks later (and also just bc i've been told it is interesting).
I don't have One Specific Host. So, in this analogy, the person/people "in control" at any given time is the streamer. They're more or less in charge of the stream while they're "online". (But, like, if you logged into twitch to watch your favorite channel and the streamer was different every stream.)
Maybe they have folks they collab with on a regular basis, who also have some (limited) control over how things work (ie. they can influence the happenings of the stream, but aren't necessarily in complete control).
Then you have chat. Chat consists of several people, which are individuals with their own goals and dreams and desires--but realistically, how many of any given streamer's chatters do they recognize? The ones who have been there from the beginning? Their mods? The ones who have made the most/biggest donations? Folks they frequently collab with?
But the streamer can still see the messages chat sends, and even if they don't necessarily recognize a chatter's name or know anything about them, the streamer still can/will respond to them, and can (usually) think of them fondly.
Chat can also be controlled to an extent by designated moderators. Chatters who backseat too much, who try to spoil things (share trauma) the streamer hasn't gotten to yet, who harass other chatters, etc--they're going to get timed out. But that doesn't, like, stop the person from existing, or from being able to see the stream. They just can't type in chat until the timeout is over, or unless they make an appeal to moderation that is approved.
And sometimes chat can influence the stream--things like hydrate reminders, or donations that read messages out loud, or in more involved (fuzzy) cases, things like Twitch Plays Pokémon. Maybe sometimes the streamer has a community day and does group activities. Sometimes moderators are allowed to control the stream to some extent--like those streamers who let their mods control their StreamElements and such.
Anyways--all of this is context for a silly little comic I made regarding my Loop fictive (A rarity! I don't typically develop fictives. Considering that the last 6 months have been some of the worst of my life, though, I am far from surprised), named Txirimiri (Miri for short)(Also unusual, as I don't have many headmates with actual names), where they are the cat that I put on my desk to entertain chat while I go to the bathroom (because chat LOVES Miri), added below the cut.
She should be a Red Robin rogue. She should be the bane of Tim Drake’s existence and also the love of his life. They are not enemies to lovers they are enemies and lovers.
Punchline isn’t seen as a victim because how she acts doesn’t change because of the Joker. She already had a hit list that she was carrying out in highschool before she encountered him.
I mean yeah...kindaaa? So like yes she has the hit list and she is totally fucked up and I agree with that don't get me wrong. Are we not forgetting though that Terra was evil before Deathstroke??? Like this is how they describe her along with how they talk about her in interviews...
Just because they're bad people doesn't make them both NOT victims of grooming. Just because they both play into their grooming doesn't mean they aren't victims. Just because Tara has redemption arcs in other versions of herself doesn't make her a better victim...
I feel like this discussion also intertwines with people's need to have perfect victims who are inherently good people and don't desire their abusers and need saved from it. I feel like because of this my question still remains unanswered? I don't understand how Tara who is straight up evil before and after Slade Wilson...Is seen as a victim when punchline who is also evil before and after the joker...isn't? Maybe there's still something I'm not seeing, I'm not gonna act like I'm some kind of supreme knowledge on all things Terra, Punchline and victimhood (After all I only read the trial comic a little while ago) I just think there's more to chew on here.
Okay getting off my butt and reading the trial of alexis kaye and I think it's kind of hilarious that Harper's brother-
(I don't know his name and tbh I don't care a lot about bluebird??? Maybe thats a controversial take from someone who hasn't read much but I'm just not interested in her.)
-looks at Alexis's podcast stuff and this pic of her
AND HIS RESPONSE IS "She looks so...Average" ???? Like no ok I totally get it the point is that shes a normal girl pre-joker and stuff but like...He's seeing her as this weirdo alt girl who's got a whole podcast just about joker...Even ignoring the podcast thing like...We agree she's alt right?...I'm not saying shes the MOST alternative looking person ever but like something about this made me giggle.
