it's not much hope at this point I'm gonna be honest
I liked TLoU just fine, but I've only played it once because it's so brutally unrelentingly dark and depressing, and the idea that grimdark = edgy and groundbreaking and mature is so pervasive in media, and that's not Uncharted at all, Uncharted is a big flashy summer blockbuster with explosions and friends and romance and a happy fucking ending
but it'd so so easy for them to decide they need to "take the series in a new direction" on a new console, decide the series needs to be "more mature" and they'll just destroy the characters and relationships that mean so much to me in the name of "realism"
