Joj wrote a creepypasta for me because I was going on about an old baby toy in the front room that kept going off on its own every now and then. So of course, him and Eerie wanted to make sure I couldn't sleep.
It started out simply enough, Cass's nephew left his toy behind, abandoned in the front room. Things were quiet for some time until one night when Cass was walking through his home and heard a strange trill of words. He stopped, listened closer and again it called out. "I love you. " it said. Unnerved, Cass ignored the toy and retreated to his room, brushing off the sinister feeling he got as little more than happenstance. This kept happening for days, at odd hours the toy would cry out, waking him up until one night in late May when he awoke at 3:34 am and the toy was sitting in his doorway, its mechanics warped and its voice warbling, "I love yo--you- i lo--love you." What they had all mistaken as a harmless toy had a gruesome past. It had been passed from child to child, left at second hand stores, at dumps and at yard sales, never finding a child who would love it back. And each household that tossed it aside, abandoned it like Cass's nephew had, was stricken with inexplicable tragedy. He bolted upright just in time to see the door slamming shut, darkening his room. The last thing he heard as he was sputtering on blood was "yay!".
