A Chance Meeting
Colorful little flowers dotted the grass of the park. Sniffing these flowers were two dogs. One dog was most certainly a mixed breed. While she seemed to have the coloring of an Australian Shepherd with shades of brown and cream, she was significantly smaller, on the border of a small breed and a medium breed. Her ears were also larger and more floppy while she had the upward tail of a beagle. The other dog, another female, was a textbook long-haired chihuahua; a tiny body and apple head with fur so white that grass stains were inevitable. On the end of each leash was a respective redhead. The chihuahua was being walked by a woman in her mid forties, long wavy hair that had the front held back by a braid. She stood at five feet and four inches tall with a slightly chubby build. Her skin was on the lighter side with a light sprinkling of freckles on her face. She wore a light purple jacket to shield her from the slight chill of early to mid spring and a pair of blue jeans with walking shoes. The mixed breed dog was on the lead of a lady who both resembled the other woman, but also had quite a few differences. While they both had red hair and green eyes, this woman was significantly younger, in her mid twenties. Her hair was short and incredibly curly. She stood much taller at six feet and two inches while having an athletic build. Her skin was also heavily freckled. She wore a pink dress accented by a pale yellow jacket and a pair of white leggings to keep warm along with walking shoes. The younger woman cocked her head as her dog abruptly raised her head, staring into the distance. “What is it, girl?” she asked. Before she could investigate, the dog had yanked the leash from her hands and darted off. “Ack! Lola, wait!” the redhead called out as she ran after her pooch. “Oh dear,” the older woman shook her head and followed at a more leisurely pace. “Arf! Arf! Arf!” the canine barked playfully as she ran headfirst into a teenage girl. She let out whines as she circled the girl, bouncing on her hind legs to beg for attention. @starsmuserainbow

Steph pouted. Okay, Moonshot was kinda a cool name, she couldn’t lie to herself about that. But did it have to be attached to this guy? She went to cross her arms, but hissed as pressure was put on her stupid burned wrists. How had the heat gotten through her gloves? They were supposed to be fireproof. Alien magic or something?
It rankled that he was so keen on working together when he didn’t seem to even want to be in her presence, but taking on an enemy that had captured the whole of the Titans wasn’t a smart move for anybody. And the sheer amount of magic that surrounded them… well, it pointed towards a formidable opponent.
“I’m Spoiler,” she stated, and didn’t elaborate further on the subject. She pulled her hood back up from where it had slipped off her head to avoid looking at him.
“Alright, Moonbutt, I’ll agree to a team-up. What's the plan?”

{➹} – SONIC WAS RIGHT there to catch her if she did fall, a mix of relief and concern about him as he stood there. The hero himself looked a little worse for wear, namely with a few quills and small patches of fur out of place but otherwise showing no visible injuries. But there was a frenzied air about him, even as he took a breath to answer her rightful questions.
"I...don't really know t' be honest. You've been missing for a few days, and when I could get in touch with you myself I started...asking around." Politely at first, but he wouldn't admit he had gotten in a little deeper than he intended to. There were so very few things that would make the hero willingly fight but freedom and justice were undoubtedly one of them.
Both of which Lightning had taken away, but he was hoping to correct that.
"You're in a facility of sorts and let's just say we're not the only ones here..."

He had found the rather large pale pink shell slightly obscured underneath the sand. Brushing the sand off of it, he had handed it off to her.
"Probably was - but I guess it was abandoned since I didn't see anything attached to it," Had he seen anything like a hermit crab or any other sort of creature calling this shell home, he would have left it alone. His guess was that if it was someone's home, it had been abandoned - or a home yet to be discovered. "Isn't it great?" He chuckles upon seeing her reaction, clearly as excited as she is - at her question, he brings a thoughtful hand to his chin tilting his head to the side as he wondered - just how were you able to hear the ocean in a shell...?
"Honestly, I'm not sure...! Maybe since shells come from the ocean?"

"I can't argue with that. Some people are pretty much enigmas, and sometimes that can be a good thing. Keeps things interesting on a dull day. Other times? Not so much." Pretty wise words coming from someone so young, but he clearly knew what he was talking about. To an extent.
"I guess the main point is that's why communication is important. It helps bridge that gap. Usually."

"I'm fine... A little singed, but I'll be okay..." Jinx gratefully walked inside the tower, with none of her usual energy. The sorceress looked noticeably more dishevelled than usual; her clothes were torn and singed, her hair was a mess, and soot was stubbornly clinging to both.
"My apartment burned down... I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I heard an explosion next door, and the air was suddenly filled with smoke. The flames spread fast, I barely got out of there..." She probably would have gotten out faster, but she'd wanted to make sure the other people on her floor got out safely as well. Unfortunately, she hadn't seen her neighbours from the apartment that went up...
"Thanks for hearing me out... I know we haven't had the best history..."

Everything was perfect in the beginning. The two went to the mall, ate delicious food at a food court and even tried on some funny hats and accessories. What changed was the plushie doll incident. The way he left her high and dry confused and upset her. She didn't know what she did wrong for him to do that.
Fast forward to an 1 hour later where she found him on top of the roof. Irma felt some anger towards him and she wanted to give him a piece of her mind. She deserved to know why he abandoned her like that. Before she could, she heard an apology from him and an explanation. So that anger she had for him sort of diminished. Had Irma known about his past with this alien speices, she wouldn't had bought him the plushie.
"Well, I'm sorry too. I didn't know but you didn't have to leave me like that. I wish you would've told me."
