I'm an ex-persecutor and I did some...pretty awful things. I've spoken to the alter who keeps track of memories and convinced him to erase the worst of it, but the guilt still gnaws at me, and I'm afraid what will happen now that it's all gone. I don't have the fear factor and control that I once had because of it, and while it's freeing, it's also very frustrating, and almost scary. I feel like SOMETHING is going to happen, something bad, and I can't get the feeling out of my head. And I feel like the lack of control is the source of this feeling. I want it to stop, but I'm not sure what to do, since I don't want them to remember, I want them all to give me a chance to change. Any advice?

Sometimes you just have to do it. Once it's over, you'll hopefully feel better. You have to deal with things eventually, unfortunately.
Perhaps talking to the people you hurt could help? Starting with the most forgiving.
