Ethan can feel the eyes lingering on him - as they had been for several hours now. Still unable to tell whether the pair belongs to a woman or a man, or even whom it may be in the gathering. A party to celebrate the success of the Boar Hat, the restaurant that his friend (boss) opened not long ago in the city. It was uncommon and small, not your typical go-to for such a large place and more-so a pub than anything more legit. Still, it was nice and home-y and a great place for beer.

It’s 11:11, make a wish.

The ringing alarm forced the younger male to wake from his slumber, eyes slowly, yet softly, opening to a partially sunlit bedroom. Turning to his stomach, his face buried into his pillows, he reaches for his phone and snoozes the alarm. He gets up, dragging his feet to the bathroom, with the device in his pocket, freshening up for the day.  Cool water, citrus facial cleanser, followed by toner and moisturizer was first in line for the day. His eyes are lidded, trying to wake up. 

Today is his birthday, Reece’s birthday.

Finishing up his routine, he dressed himself in skinny jeans, a pastel pink shirt, with a blue button up that he left unbuttoned. Looking at his cellphone, it was about 9:30, and he had to be over there in 30 minutes. He was gonna be late. Maybe he did want to be..just so he can avoid the feeling.

He wasn’t quite sure if he could put a finger on it, trying to avoid making eye contact as he focused on eating the homemade macaroni and cheese the younger had made for dinner. As much as the flavor could sweep him away from his thoughts, the food wasn’t settling in his stomach. Crossing his legs under the table, he takes one more bite as he is full; as the bowl made its way to the center, his head slowly rose up. How long was Clyde looking at him like that? Ethan’s lips purse as he tries to force a small smile to the older male, letting out a silent sigh.

“When you’re finished, just leave your bowl in the sink. I’ll wash up when you’re ready..” His speech was rather soft this time, unknowing what to say next. Ethan felt like something was missing...something that Clyde was keeping from him.

Grabbing a bottle of chilled water from the fridge, he chugged the liquid not so quietly, as his dying curiosity was getting to him. He wanted to ask: why am I never going to your place...?

"Stop. Just stop. Could you just leave me alone for a second?"

"What do you mean you lied? Is there something I should know about?"

"Remember this morning when I borrowed your car and said it'd be safe with me? Well, it kind of got towed."

"You know, I'm kind of nervous about meeting your parents. What if they don't like me?"

"Listen to me, you are going to be fine." (surprise me? lol)

Ethan looked up at the girl worriedly. “P-Please take me to the h-hospital..”he groaned, leaning on the wall. He wasn't sure he was going to be fine with his leg bleeding out.
