“Hey what’s wrong?” Park said scooting over to them before he got up to search for his clothes that were scattered around the room. When they didn’t answer him, he leaned over to kiss their arm and when that didn’t get their attention he proceeded to do it again. “Come on, things were fine like just a few seconds ago - what’s up?”

Parker knocked on the door after a few seconds of just standing in front of it. He had a bouquet of flowers that he couldn’t really pronounce the name of but he knew they were very pretty and would hopefully help his apology go a lot smoother. He waited for the door to open while he rehearsed his apology over in his mind: I’m sorry I ditched our date and that I’m an absolute asshole.

“No I’m serious, I saw the opportunity to sit next to her and next thing you know we got assigned to do the lab together. I finally got to talk to her, next stage is marriage.” Park said over the phone to his friend who just so happened to be sick today, now he’d never have any witnesses, besides his classmates who he rarely interacted with, to prove that he’d actually taken a chance to speak to her today. “Why would I -” He stopped mid sentence to turn around to the person who’d tapped his shoulder, the same person he’d gotten to sit next to today. “Fuck, so how much of that did you hear?”
