Broadsword
The wide blade of this straight sword emphasises slicing and has no thrust attack.
The horizontal sweeping motion makes this sword effective against multiple enemies.
Dagger
This standard small dagger has only a modest attack but can be jabbed in rapid succession, and is effective in critical hits such as after a parry or when stabbing in the back.
With both slash and thrust attacks, this dagger is useful in various situations.
Retiring For A While...
Thank you, to those of you who follow this blog, but there are a number of things I need to accomplish in a relatively short period of time. So, I'm putting Starting Weapon on pause until March 19th. Until then, here's ten hours of the ever-glorious epic sax guy doing what he does best.
Game for honor.

Wow cant believe i didnt know this existed. You did a good job on this.
> Thank you! I really appreciate that!
E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3 E3...
Ya see what I did there? It's like a border! That's because just about everything after this post will be E3-related. For the next full week, as with most video game sites and blogs, Starting Weapon will host a number of videos, screens and quotes all pertaining to the event.
I'm going to try and keep everything short and simple too.
Just content. Video's won't be accompanied by long-winded paragraphs detailing the background of every single character in the featured trailer... just a title. A title to help make finding it easier. I'm sure if you find interest in a particular video game, and would like to learn more about it, you'd do the research. There's a number of resources for that such as IGN.
So, in the meantime, make yourself comfy. There's quite a bit to shuffle through for the rest of the week. Normal awesomeness will resume next week!

Final Touches
Now that everything's settled, it's time to lay on some final touches. This means I won't have much time to post over the weekend; too much stuff to do. Between work, editing the site and cleaning out an apartment, it's going to be pretty off and on. Be back soon!

Stay a While and Listen!
Welcome to StartingWeapon.com!
...
Well, that was easy.
Now that formalities are out of the way, let's get down to business! Starting Weapon is a one man show, and that "one man" is all about providing you with as much random video game, anime, art and indie-related awesomeness as humanly possible.
Want to help out? Contact me with a suggestion or a link to something you'd like to see featured! If it's worth throwing up on the site, I'll put a rad "Thank you" at the bottom of the post with your name next to it!
