As I get closer to a year loc'd, I am so glad I decided to take picture to document my growth. Some days I feel like no progress has been made. Some days I regret loc'in my hair. I feel discouraged and annoyed Some of my locs haven't matured much while others have. My ends are still curly, and I'm still dealing with strays and frizz. I'm sure we've all been there. BUT I also recognize I have more length, I don't feel the need to retwist as often, ( It's been a month since my last retwist vs feeling the need to do it every two weeks), I feel more comfortable styling. And I'm more confident in myself. I'm also proud that this is the longest I have gone without changing my hair. Usually I would've switched it way before now. Waiting for all of my locs to mature more than length. It'll be easier to manage.
