Want to object to Orci? Here's who to contact at Paramount!
PLEASE do not be an asshole to these people, I BEG you. Keep it short and sweet and POLITE. No more than maybe 6 sentences or it'll go immediately into the round file aka trash. Trust me, I've done it myself or have turned it over to Studio security as a risk factor if the writer sounded like a nut-job or was advocating violence in any way.
Do not send notes or emails to Rob Moore or Frederick Hartsberry, two names I've heard tossed around. They have nothing to do with physical production and you'll just be bothering them needlessly.
Do send notes (NOT EMAILS THEY WILL NEVER READ THEM) to the following executives if you absolutely feel that you must:
Brad Grey, Chairman & CEO Adam Goodman, President Paramount Film Group Marc Evans, President of Production Lee Rosenthal, President of Physical Production
Address: Paramount Pictures 5555 Melrose Avenue Hollywood, CA 90038
I do not have buildings or suite addresses except for one and I'm not giving it out, sorry.
I AM BEGGING YOU *PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE* BE POLITE.
One of these men is my former boss (who is an ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING whom I love dearly and heartily respect) and I am going to see him this summer and I don't want to have to feel the need to apologize for the fandom. I do not want to lose his goodwill or be blacklisted from the Studio for associating with fandom. PLEASE.
Paul Newman's Letter To His Wife On Their Wedding Day
“Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created. In the Art of Marriage, the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands. It is remembering to say ‘I love you’ at least once a day. It is never going to sleep angry. It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon; it should continue through all the years. It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family. It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy. It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways. It is not expecting the husband to wear a halo or the wife to have the wings of an angel. It is not looking for perfection in each other. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humor. It is having the capacity to forgive and forget. It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow. It is finding rooms for things of the spirit. It is a common search for the good and the beautiful. It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and obligation is reciprocal. It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.”
FIRST CONTACT
I will be 95 years old in 2063. My new goal is to live until April 5, 2063 just to say I did it, that I lived until the supposed date of First Contact. YES, this.

Los Angeles
I am alive in the city
sunshine, busy people, farmer's markets
taking the curves of Mulholland Drive
scarlet bougainvillea and orange blossoms
beautiful queers on Santa Monica Boulevard
sunset over the left coast
the Melrose gate
impossible dreams, cinema ghosts and traffic
Santa Ana winds and palm trees
my lost city

Hollywood actor Chris Pine has pleaded guilty to drink-driving at Ashburton District Court today.
Chris Pine convicted of DUI and loses his drivers license for six months.
Sounds like he was calm throughout the proceedings and accepted the consequences with dignity. We expected that, though. Yeah, he fucked up but this is how a grown up deals with things. Well done, CP.

"Mornings" by Kerry A. Vill (aka 2/26/14)
Mornings by Kerry A. Vill
Time to wake up
Get out the door
My eyes are angry slits on my face
Above my mouth, tight as a prune
Jaw muscles bunching
Teeth grinding
Shoulders somewhere near my ears
Rigid muscles down my back
Take a deep breathe
Breathe in peace
Breathe out release
This too shall pass
Clear your face
Turn around
Have a good rest of the day
You’re late, hurry
The door slams
Pull away
Crank up the music
Loud so the car shakes
Give me a beat
Breathe, breathe
Let the tension melt away
Dissolve into music notes
No more white knuckles on the steering wheel
Shake it out
Three hours after waking
Late to work
Again
