Gentlemen. This morning start it by saying good morning without cat calling. Hold a door for her or hell even him. Please thank you my bad, etc. let these warm days not be filled with that summertime rage. #startswithus

Just a thought
To Whom It May Concern,
Instead of us judging each other, why don't we talk to each other, get to know each other? Ask someone why they do certain things or act a certain way?
I think its easier to look at someone and be like they're a bitch or a whore or quiet. With all the recent anti-bullying ads going around I feel like we all need to take a step back (including myself) and look at what we are doing. That split second where that thought comes across, I think we should all take a minute and think, Why I am thinking this? I don't know this person, I don't know their story, I don't know who they are. While you are judging them, chances are they are judging you. Here's my challenge, instead of judging each other from a far, why don't we go up to each other and say hi. Start a conversation and get to know each other.
This isn't a ploy for money or an I know so and so who killed themselves from bullying, I am nobody famous or really all that important. I am a 22 year old woman who has definitely judged a lot of people and will admit i have bullied in the past (which i do full on regret and i wish i could contact the girl i bullied in grade 6 and tell her how sorry I am) But I believe that all it takes is one person to make a difference, no matter how small. I think if we all start admitting our own faults and take responsibility for our own actions, that's when we will see bullying start to decline.
Let's face it, it starts with us. It starts with me and you. I'm not perfect! Most days I hate my body. I wish I was skinnier. I tend to think skinny girls are whores because well I hate my own body. And that's the honest truth. I bet most of the time, the girls I think are whores, aren't. They are going through exactly what I am, hating their bodies. I bet if we all got together and talked we would all realize we share similar thoughts and feelings, and could help each other. Instead of making situations worse for each other, all of us could be helping each other.
Let's try this, focusing on the positive. You see a girl in a short skirt, instead of assuming she is a whore, looking for attention, say wow she has great legs and is clearly proud of them. Or the girl who has the cleavage, (i'm usually that girl) think wow, she has great boobs. (being age appropriate of course)
We all make mistakes, whether its flashing someone on the internet, or being the extremely drunk person at a party but that doesn't define who we are. It doesn't make us shitty people, or promiscuous. It makes us human. Raise of hands, how many of us have never ever made a mistake in our lives.
Instead of pointing the finger at someone else, point it at yourself. What makes you better than the openly gay guy, or the skinny blond bombshell, or the "overweight brunette" or the average person? When it comes down to it we are all the same on the inside. Skin, bones, heart, liver. Let's face it we are all equal. So instead of hating each other based on our outsides, let's take the time to get to know each other on the inside.
Sincerely,
Made-lots-of-mistakes-but-wants-to-be-a-better-person
