The way Rosalind talks about Elizabeth in her voxophones makes me feel as if she was actually there to somewhat raise Elizabeth. My only complaint with that is when Elizabeth realized who they were ( the "not giant balloons?" scene) it sounded as if she didn't recognize them.
Fink's idea of Songbird was around 1985 (Rosalind's voxophone in clash in the clouds is dated just a year later so that would mean Songbird was there when Elizabeth was one or two since one of the charts in her tower starts at age one) but like you obviously wouldn't leave a giant robotic bird thing with a living baby so that's leading me to think "the luteces probably stayed with her until maybe her toddler years" so wouldn't she like ?? remember them to some extent?

my understanding is she wasn't always 100% alone, but they did such a terrible job of explaining any of that in-game (or out of game for that matter??) that for the most part it's left up to the imagination :'0
I got that feeling as well because with that 3 year gap without Songbird if no one was there to take care of her she would of like crawled off some staircase or smth LMAO
