(Seated in a chair is Jotaro's coat and a pile of books of various subjects and a nice bottle of wine. There's a card accompanying it, too. It says "Happy Birthday" and it's signed by Jotaro.)

The coat in the chair catches his eye first and foremost, knowing it to be his great great grandson’s. Looking at the array of items left with it, he takes note of the card, reading it over and then examining the books and wine more closely. He can’t help but give a smile, placing the card and books on a nearby table as well as the wine. He then takes the coat, sighing a bit.

“I suppose I’ll thank him for the gifts when I return this.”

“I had an awful lot of fun yesterday, but now I'm bored and lost..” The only place she really knew of was her apartment, but even then, she couldn't find it after having wandered so far. She waited at the sidewalk, opening her mouth to ask where she was, though none seemed to want to listen.

Finally, she snapped, grabbing someone’s arm as they walked by. “Excuse me!”

Well, so far - he’d managed to regale a good amount of maidens with bad jokes before Valentine’s day, in an effort to spread cheer - but it was important to share his wonderfully amazing bad jokes with all, so hopefully he’d find a tolerant sir to tell his next bad jokes to. Yes, it was true that so far his jokes hadn’t exactly been received well, but he’d keep trying anyway. Perhaps they might look back on the jokes later and smile, or feel happiness come to them then: that was his hope, anyway.

To bring folk a bit of happiness should they not have a date this valentines. Ooh, actually - there was a gentleman now. Did he have the time to stop and hear a joke? He felt like he had a really great bad joke this time. “Excuse me, but do you have time for a chat? If you’re busy, I understand, everyone seems to be quite busy this time of year...”

Well, he wasn’t impolite, if someone was busy, he wouldn’t keep them with bad jokes!

That they’d deigned to give him a wooden sword after taking away his original is nothing short of confusing, and the garbage can lid feels demeaning to carry around. Like this, he feels not unlike a child again, left in the lower quarters of the capital to engage in imaginary adventures with the same childish shield and a stick to serve as his weapon. But Yuri is not here and Flynn is certainly no child, and so these substitute weapons feel very much like a mockery to what he’s worked tirelessly to become.

Still, this agitation is something he does well in swallowing back when he manages to catch the eye of a stranger, a tall man who looks powerful enough to crush someone with his bare fists if he so desired. Perhaps he doesn’t look to be the best person to ask, but he seems to be more at ease within this city than Flynn does--and that is reason enough to approach.

“Excuse me--these ‘weapons’ that we were given... is there any way to exchange them for our own?”
