It is impossible to please everyone everywhere with anything creative, but it is possible to tell your story authentically & without reservation. I have made an Art Film as my first feature because in a world where a diet of mainstream film is all some people get to consume, I feel its important to make movies that remind us to think differently, feel differently & see the world through a different point of view. I feel it is still possible to explore different lifestyles within our communities from a grassroots perspective. This is the motivation behind the creation of my first feature film: STASH. STASH is a crime drama & has none of the hallmarks of mainstreaming: big name actors, huge explosions, CGI, expensive equipment, predictable & familiar character tropes, huge set pieces or guns of any kind. STASH is about people. Good people. Bad people. Degenerate people. People without redemption. STASH is about us. The unrepresented. I will not let the lack of funds, lack of resources or lack of support stop me from expressing my wonder & awe in the human condition. To me: people are amazing & I love being reminded of that & in turn, I love reminding you of that too. I hope you will get a chance to see STASH as we tour & do film festivals. I hope you will allow yourself to be transported into a world that is both familiar & strange but is at its core, an exploration of the human condition. STASH is an art film made to tantalise your senses & remind you that you are amazing & intelligent & people are people.
