Have you done Texas yet? I'm thinking Tauros for the Texas Longhorn, Cacturne for the cactus (Maractus just doesn't fit that well), Sandshrew for an armadillo aand that's about it. Any other suggestions?

Got inspired by @scientificpokedex ’s state starters where they take a state or a country and list a starter pokemon for them based on their national symbols or animals/plants/objects they’re associated with. So, I thought it’d be fun and do this with Croatia. I’m very sorry for those who aren’t familiar with pokemon. XD but here are the pokemon!
Gogoat - For Istria’s coat of arms Luxray - Dalmatia’s coat of arms, I was told those were lynxes and not lions, but Luxray draws inpiration from both animals so… Linoone - Slavonia coat of arms, also kuna. Charizard - For Croatia’s shape Escavalier - For Croatia’s rich medieval history, also gladiators for a couple of amfithatres we have and Ancient Roman influences, it’s the first pokemon that comes to my mind and connects to the chess/checkboard.

2) Slugma, since Iceland is still volcanically active and has many lava fields!
