The message released on their socials read,

Kevin Durant takes sides with Jemele Hill in her statements towards Donald Trump.

Jemele Hill received the backing of a pretty distinguished voice in sports in sports on Thursday night, September 14, when during a run-in with TMZ Kevin Durant cosigned her decision to speak her mind on how President Trump comes off as a white supremacist to her.

"Man... aye. Aye, look man. I play basketball, and I'm behind Jemele. I support her. That's what it's all about. She's standing up for what she believes in. I'm with it," Durant told TMZ. Then when asked whether he thought ESPN was up to no good by trying to replace Hill with another Black anchor, KD kept it to the point with a simple: "Yep!"

Durant's remarks serve as a huge lift for Hill at the present moment, as she has been getting hammered from supporters of the President, and even many of those who aren't pro-Trump, yet feel as though she as a person with high public stature shouldn't have come so raw. Among Hill's critics, has been the President himself, who broke his silence on Friday morning by taking aim at ESPN with a knock at its falling viewer base.

"ESPN is paying a really big price for its politics (and bad programming). People are dumping it in RECORD numbers. Apologize for untruth!" Trump wrote.
