She grew up in the Congress Park Community of Congress Heights. Sharece was raised in the Greater Good Samaritan Baptist Church and has a strong foundation of faith and spirituality. This led her to Shaw University where she graduated with a degree in Journalism, Mass Media Communications and Marketing. Sharece is one of DC's youngest 3 term elected officials. She was recently elected to the DC Democratic State Committee, receiving over 21,000 Votes from DC residents. She earned this milestone achievement while serving as the elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) in Single Member District 8C03. As an ANC Commissioner — Sharece achieved created several platforms. One of them being the Resolution Roundtable. This Roundtable served an inclusive module that has been duplicated around the country to resolve joint issues. These resolutions resulted in updated data from government agencies; Updated Websites; execution of programs and resources that have enhanced the quality of life. Sharece has become nationally and globaly sought after and endorsed by international figures for her service. Sharece was recognized as a Top 30 under 30 Young Professional; Former International TV Show host and producer; Recipient of the Rising Star Award and Soaring Eagle Award; Certified International Business Development; Certified in Financial Management; And Honoree Recipient for assisting in the development and establishment of the Smithsonian's first National Museum of African American History and Culture.
