Statik Selectah’s name is interesting to me because he’s a New Yorker with no obvious Jamaican ancestry. Here he is on a boat having fun with Joey Badass and Action Bronson. Apparently Action Bronson used to be a gourmet chef. I wonder if he still hosts dinner parties.

Hip Hop period is built off drums and samples…period. So if you’re one of those dudes out there that’s talking about, “I don’t sample, that shit is old school,” or “I don’t want to pay for the samples,” you’re just kind of a cancer to our culture.
