re: tornadoes

i've apparently* slept through two (2!) of them so your anxiety over them should add to the equation that even in the off chance you might get to experience a tornado, you also might just sleep through it

*i had to take their word for it because i was young enough that i didn't think to check the news, and i slept like the dead when i was a kid so this is not implausible

you have no idea how absolutely fucking RAGING I would be if I managed to sleep through a tornado. oh my god. I very, very nearly slept through a minor earthquake once (didn't occur to me that that was what it was until like, weeks after the event lmao) and that would have been bad enough, but a tornado? I've been wanting to see one since I was four years old. I'd scream.

thankfully for this particular situation I live in a place where they're not common, so if I ever do see a tornado it'll likely be because I've travelled to see one. considering most of them happen in the late afternoon/early evening I should hopefully have a decent chance of being awake, though knowing my luck I'll probably go on a whole journey just to pass out right before the storm hits lmao. gonna find out where the tornado is likely to hit and then just sleep in a tent in the middle of the field. statistically I should wake up once the tent blows away.
