#motogp #obviously will make prettier stuff later but I finally have the numbers together #wracked my brain to try to find the opposite of “most improved” and couldn't come with anything #stats lb #AQP = average qualifying position #AFP = average finishing position [ignoring the DNFs]#top 5s made by adding the 3 categories together btw #obviously if you go into the details some guys have improved quality but not so much racing and vice versa #but like I said details later

80 DNFs and 10 rounds later: halfway through the season. So far I've found :

10 first lap retirements,

6 last lap retirements,

11 technical retirements.

With their 8 bikes Ducati made up for 34.1% of DNFs. Then we have all the factories with 4 bikes : Honda (23.2%), Aprilia (18.3%) and KTM (17.1%). And finally, Yamaha (7.3%). Number of DNFs per races started will be calculated for each factory at a later time.

Got distracted and decided to finally input all of Marc's results from 2008 to 2024 in a spreadsheet. Above table is ranked by average result (not accounting for DNFs).

2026 Predictions [posting early February, out before the season opener late February] ✅ results posted on the 20th of February.

Journals stuff :

Finishing all my pages and printing my 2025 journal [will be happy with myself if I can get this done before Christmas but early January is also fine] ✅ ordered on the 4th of January,

Preparing the 2026 MotoGP journal and have it listed on Etsy [early February] ✅ released on the 12th of January.

This might seem like a lot but I already have a base from last year that I want to reuse and adapt for all of those things so that will definitely help.

#I mean I did manage everything last year and I was working meanwhile I won't be this year #the only big thing is I'm supposed to go travel for a few months in the first half of 2026 #I'm unsure if I want to take my laptop with me but I kind of am going with yes #(otherwise it would just be my iPad but less practical with so many things)#on the one hand it could be a great occasion to disconnect but also I still want to take care of all of that so #I lowkey would love to move the rpf survey somewhere else in the calendar but I get of like the idea of doing it with a calendar/season yea #so I'm kind of stuck there #I don't think I want to touch the template of the 2025 journal too much #(except updating the tables with the calendar & riders obviously)#probably adding a couple new pages I thought about but need to write down before they escape my brain #RPF & Predictions surveys I'll be mostly reusing the canva templates from last year #stats lb #journals lb

Caught up with my DNFs table and added a couple of upgrades to it (round / circuit columns automatically fill once the weekend is selected and if you select sprint or race, the number of laps is automatic as well + the team / factory / type of rider columns fill automatically in the right colour once the rider is selected).

#stats lb #obviously I have to change wildcard to replacement by hand for replacement riders #but it's easy and quick and not something I have to do often #so a detail really #this table has 5 more columns but they're less important
