Garibaldi Castle
Garibaldi Castle is located in the town of Khryashchevka, in Samara, Russia. The Neo-Gothic castle was built in the late 20thcentury by Oleg Kuzichkin to honor his father. The designers imagined an older castle added to and renovated throughout the centuries. To reach this end, they built the foundation and basement in a 10thand 12thcentury style, the 1stand 2ndfloors in the 13thand 14thstyle, the third floor in the 15thand 16thcenturies, with the final imagined reconstruction done in the 19thcentury. To reach this objective and a realistic effect, the workers created bas-reliefs on the basement rocks to look similar to those found in 10thcentury Danish excavations. The castle boasts spires, towers, and a natural stone roof, while the interior has Gothic arches and sculpture filled alcoves. The castle is a tourist complex and is open to the public with world-class amenities and luxury. The castle serves as a luxury hotel with seven VIP rooms, guesthouses, parks, a port, a beach area, a pond, fountains, statuary, and the Garibaldi Waterfront Oasis. You can explore the castle grounds and the beautiful gardens, take a horse and carriage ride, enjoy cruising along the tranquil Samara River on the Garibaldi Yacht, or visit the local windsurfing school. Garibaldi Castle has seven exhibitions, a gallery, a billiard’s room, a pool, a gift shop, a café, and a restaurant.
