Heyaa,I just read your Commodus x Maximus's sister first part,and I have to say, you nailed it!!!! I'm looking forward to part 2, and I have a thought about how it might develop... I don't know why, but I see a sort of involuntary love triangle between Commodus, the reader, and Lucilla. I can see Commodus being interested in the reader, but at the same time, he can't imagine putting someone else above his sister, so he obviously thinks, "If I love the reader, it means I'll love my dear sister just the same."
Of course I'm not romanticizing incest, but I see it as very canonical to his character. What do you think?

And honestly? this analysis is brilliant and so canonically accurate to his character. Commodus is lowkey VERY insecure, therefore his obsession with Lucilla stems from his deep need for validation. Introducing the reader into this dynamic creates a terrifying parallel in his mind; he feels like by possessing the reader he is conquering a piece of Maximus (the last one left in the whole world, as far as he knows), while maintaining his suffocating grip on his sister. The thing is, both of these women were deeply tied to Maximus...so If you ask me,it's a twisted balancing act where he lowkey uses both women as objects to feed his bottomless insecurity and take away everything that belonged to his rival.
