I remember when this issue first came out that my reaction was “Yeah, we’ve not seen Johnny in ages!” But on this read-through it feels like it’s not been that long since we last saw him. I guess I am able to read the comics quicker than once a fortnight now
Also, yes, you’ll probably see a lot of StC fanworks where Cream & Vanilla are related to Johnny that almost definitely owe their origin back to these panels where he says rabbits have big families
Oh and, the story title is officially Amy & Tekno now, not just Amy. Yes, it’s still Sonic’s World, but still
Because this is a Stringer story, the cast are also wondering where Shortfuse has gone. I like the little detail that Amy isn’t super fond of him, even if she wishes him well. I just think it’s nice that they didn’t completely brush the disagreement between those two under the rug
Like Johnny, I’m impressed by Tekno’s massive TV. But equally I’m raising an eyebrow that she’s invented a Shortfuse Tracker. I guess that since the guy gets himself into so much danger, it’s probably a good idea, if a violation of privacy
You have to admire that Amy always has time for quips, even when being suddenly sent to another dimension
Let’s take a moment to appreciate Amy grabbing Tekno to try to save her, too
Johnny rightfully becoming worried that the writers are noticing how expendable he is
If you live a healthy lifestyle, then you too can fight bug aliens as well as Amy & Tekno
Shortfuse seems to be having his mind controlled by some alien goo thing stuck to his chest. We’ll see how that goes next time, but genuinely, I’d put my money on Amy & Tekno in a fight between them and Shortfuse, so I’m sure they’ll be fine
