We're very excited to announce that we are having our very first Game of Thrones program!

We'll have trivia (both book AND show based), games, food...

...and a combat demonstration from the Society for Creative Anachronism! 

This program is for adults, ages 18+. February 15, at 2 PM.

Potter Potter Potter Potter Potter Potter Potter Weasley, Weasley...

Our Potter Party for Adults was a success! 

We had a mix of ages show up, which was perfect! Our students were sorted and played Cards Against Wizardkind (our own Harry Potter flavored Cards Against Humanity), and sorted into their houses. They even got their own acceptance letters and scorecards to keep track of their house points. And then, they were off!

  We had several stations, N.E.W.T.S. (Cranium with Harry Potter answers instead of the usual ones), Potions Class (where our students had to follow magical instructions and create a bouncy ball from cornstarch and borax), and Charms (giant jenga! It's leviosa, not leviosar!). Even divination and quidditch! 

Potions had the labels covered with magical ingredients-cornstarch became Pixie Dandruff, or the blue food coloring became Raven's Tears. And absolutely no help from their head of house, because that's not the way Snape would have done it.

Giant Jenga was serious business. 

While we took up scorecards and tabulated house points, our students enjoyed a nice buffet of baked goods. 

Yeah, butterbeer cupcakes. And chocolate frogs, pumpkin pasties, and cauldron creams!

It was a magical night. This is definitely a program we would think about putting on again. 

And yes, Slytherin House won the house cup. :)
