Family Dinner at Stecchino

I feel as though every week lately I've been writing about dining in Hell's Kitchen (see my previous posts about Print and Dafni, and I've also been to Don Antonio and Nizza recently). There really are so many restaurants there, and this past weekend I went to Stecchino with my family. We started off with shrimp,

mussels,

and beet salad.

You know what's funny? I don't even remember what this next dish is. It might be calamari. I'm not sure who got it, or if it was an appetizer or entree. I remember tasting the green stuff and it was good.

I got the salmon burger, which came with eggplant fries! Those were interesting.

Our "dessert trio" was unremarkable. Overall, our meal was fine but nothing too exciting... I probably wouldn't come back.

Since coming here I've tried to keep track of all of the new restaurants I've been to (that I hadn't been to before this summer), and right now the count is 28! There's been a wide range of places, from a cash-only Indian deli where I got a $7 platter of curries, to chain franchises such as Shake Shack and Pret a Manger, to upscale Greek cuisine, to an all you can eat and drink sushi/sake restaurant.
